I’m confused, we supposedly have no rests anywhere but they are testing Amazon tribes?

Am I a bad person if I dont care? Yeah, but not nearly as bad as a "journalist" who will blame it on Trump.

The 1918 flu hit both the Eskimos and the Green Hell inhabitants of the Amazon hard.

We have one family of squirrels that comes to our bird feeder in the back. For years there were none, because we’re on the opposite side of the street from the woods, but two winters ago there was one. It came up to the window where I was looking at it, and I could see it was a nursing mother; I named it Marcia. She came back by herself for a long time, and then we started seeing more. I’m pretty sure it’s Marcia and her family, and they haven’t told any of the other squirrels about all the seeds. “And the teethy-claw killya things are *slow*!”
On Saturday we “hiked” to another subdivision, and I rescued a boy’s skateboard from a furious gander. It was about 4 feet from a goose on her nest.

That’s very interesting. I read the book about 1918 epidemic, but it was years ago and details have faded.

How exactly does a disease with a 0.1% death rate ‘wipe out’ anything?

Maybe I missed it...but do we know why he went to the hospital in the first place? Broken leg? Arrow through his head? The article quickly went into how important these tribes are, stats about Brazil, etc. Maybe The hospital is where he got it.

Gosh - they’re souring the outback looking for ways to keep it going...next thing they’ll be hounding Trump to save everyone...

(Don't howl about illegal leeches, or Trump in general, while not donating to FR - it's hypocritical.)
