Vanity. So if every dark cloud has a silver lining...

What is the silver lining of this one that's hanging over us?

I'll start with a few...

1. Less traffic on the roads

2. Cheaper gas

3. In a couple of months (or sooner) there will the the mother of all buying opportunities in stocks

4. Mortgage and refi rates are the lowest in decades if not ever

5. When normal times return again people will have a better appreciation of them

6. This may spell the death knell of unfettered globalism and globalists

Feel free to add yours....

Decades of HGTV kitchen remodels will, for their first time, be used to cook a meal.

I believe that families will become closer. Without multiple activities pulling people apart they may learn to interact together and perhaps even have family meals.

Lots of COVID comeback sales

Homeschooling will boom as parents realize they don’t need union educators.

The best thing is that I turned off the news.
It’s doomsday out there.
Went to work as if everything is normal and go about life with my karate classes, church socials and dinner with friends.
Life has not changed for me and I won’t allow it.

“ Life has not changed for me and I won’t allow it.”

I’ve noticed this. It amazes me how much some people love their circuses.

Regarding cheaper gas, in a couple of months the oil companies will come up with some bullsh!t, corona virus based explanation for why there is a sudden spike in gas prices above where it is now, in order to make up their lost revenue. One thing I’ve learned is that they never lose, no matter what.

Makes everyone rethink what is important in life. I don’t go anywhere anyway. Hope cable still works. Like my moronic movies to keep me centered. Might read books I’ve meant to read for years.

Every hotel, airline, vacation oriented business will shed employees

And then maybe they'll go home.

Or maybe because the demand went back up due to things returning to normal.

“One thing I’ve learned is that they never lose, no matter what.”

I take it then you’re going to back up the truck and load up on a ton of oil stocks and make a killing.

But why do I get the sense that you won’t?

I think the biggest one is everyone will see what Trump, Gordon Chang and others have been saying, it is insane to rely on China for our medical, technical and consumer good supply chains.
