A funny Sopranos episode featured Frank Jr in a cameo as himself playing poker with the gang. One of the characters (Pauly, I think) calls him “Chairboy of the Board.” Frank Jr obviously had a sense of humor about the family’s mobbed-up reputation that Ol’ Blue Eyes lacked.
Italians have some specialized differences from the rest of the continent, mainly due to being on the peninsula all these centuries. 92% of all Italians are related by blood. When an American with Italian roots goes to Italy, everyone starts by figuring out how they are related to the visitor, and they usually can do so.
I think what you heard if right. The Arabs mess up everything they’re involved in.
I can imagine.
I was for sure my Thalessemia came from Italian background since it is common there..but dont have any Italians that I can find on the side that has it.
If anyone is Italian and has weird blood counts dont let the Drs. tell you that you are just anemic. Check further.
I hope they don’t change to Iran.
I’ve not been to Sicily but Cassino is wonderful and together with Monte Cassino is a must see!
Interesting.
I fell in love with San Remo in 1963. My travel agency owning BIL tells me it's been 'discovered' though. I still remember the name of the girl I 'fell for' there, Rose Ann Servido.
My sister almost died laughing when they told me they were going there....I told her to ask Rose Ann why she never replied to my letters, ha, ha.
I was in the Navy back then.
It could have come from Arabs ruling Italy since Arabs also have thalessemia.
‘Bona fortuna’, and I hope you get to see more of Italy!
Guess it’s a good thing I didn’t make this the month for my Bucket List trip to the Milan Opera!

All these face mask that do absolutely nothing.. pathetic.

That Italian regional pride makes it amazing Italy every became a nation.
The Northerners are arrogant, but the Southerners are not exactly sweethearts.
Over 350,000 Chinese live in Italy, the largest population being in Milan. Milan is locked down, along with nine other cities in the manufacturing area of northern Italy. No mystery why this region is affected.
Grew up in a neighborhood filled with Sicilian immigrants. Beautiful people, imho.
