Donald Trump on Wednesday praised a heckler in California who urged him to 'get rid of' Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying it was okay with him, and bragged Republicans will pick up seven House seats in the state this fall.

'He said get rid of Pelosi. That’s okay with me,' President Trump said at a water event with California farmers.

Relations between the president and the speaker - the head of their respective branches of government - are at an all time low and not likely to be helped by Trump attacking Pelosi on her home turf.

The president is on a four-day West Coast tour where he's been fundraising in California and preparing to hold a trio of campaign rallies in the West ahead of November's election and as Democrats prepare for the Nevada caucuses on Saturday.

Trump, who will hold a campaign rally in Phoenix Wednesday night, got warmed up at a water event in Bakersfield, the hometown of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, who was accompanying the president.

'We can pick up seven seats in the state of California,' Trump said.

Then a heckler in the audience shouted to 'get rid of' Speaker Pelosi.

'A lot of people are agree. Look what's happened to San Francisco,' Trump said. 'It’s worse than a slum. There’s no slum like that. What they done to San Francisco is a crying shame. And it's something that we're going to do something about because if they don't fix it up, clean it up, take care of the homeless, do what they have to do, but clean up their city, the federal government's going to have to step in.'

Isn't San Fran Gran Nan part of the federal government? Maybe not.

As filthy as that place is, the only way that it can be cleansed is by burning — as in burn it to the ground.
