Okay newby.
Make sure you donate to the FReepathon.
You do not know what is going on and why the father is still there.
There’s an incredibly long path of destruction for such a small plane. It looks like the weather was overcast and misty.

Are you there in Atlanta with the family? For all we know, Steve Jr. specifically told dad to do his job for Carly. Quite clearly, the families are very involved in sports, and this may be their way of coping, at least initially.
I'll leave it at condolences to both the Ensminger and McCord families.
Man. I would say the officiating sucks but that would be an insult to officials who suck.
Tough break. I’m surprised they did not fly commercial. The cheapest last minute ticket I could find from New Orleans to Atlanta was about $500, somewhat cheaper than a quoted Piper Cheyenne rate of $1438 per hour (on a trip that would presumably have taken about 3 hours, assuming a bit of circling around waiting for a landing slot).

I agree. His son’s wife was just killed in a plane crash and he’s at work. At work. That’s all it is. His job. Everyone grieves differently, of course. I find it odd.
Spoken like a true football coach.
“In law” is just as much his daughter and family. Screw a stupid football game. To each their own.
I was sent home from deployment when my brother died. Everybody else sucked it up and worked extra hours doing my job so I could be with my family, just as I would do for them. Some things are more important than any job. They even showed the guy celebrating. That’s screwed up.
Geez, you post about someone dying in a plane crash and the rest of these morons down thread are talking about a fricking ball game.
**Tough? Its callous and inhuman. His son is grieving the loss of his wife and wheres dadat work. No question this mans priorities are screwed up.**
Knowing my late FIL, a man who earned the DFC over Germany in 43 (and was never interested in telling about it): if that had happened to his daughter (my wife), he would not permit my father to be at the funeral, and would probably bust his jaw if he showed up anyway. Think John Wayne. He could have passed for his younger brother. The look, size, walk, and talk. The difference: he worked real jobs, not an entertainment job. One of the most honest men I’ve ever known.
Sports is entertainment. Nothing more.
Post of the thread
Their family is all about LSU.
I am saddened by the family’s loss. However, any person or family whose whole world revolves around a football team should re-examine their priorities. No matter how many games or titles your team wins, it’s not going to defeat world hunger and it’s not going to advance world peace. In fact, it’s not even going to help an old lady to cross the street. In the big scheme of things, sports outcomes are ultimately meaningless.
Prayers up for them all. Sadly, this kind of tragedy is common for celebrities using small airplanes, one that goes well back for the last 50 years.
Kinda a low life move to go ahead on his part to go to the game when you just got told your son’s wife met a violent death.
Sometimes you gotta be a family man.
These kind of crashes often involve weather, lots of pressure to depart no matter the weather because the game won’t wait, lots of excitement, people’s minds elsewhere rather than on good flight planning.
Were made of different cloth. I would have told my dad: Ill see you tomorrow. Get out there and kick sooner a$$. -And thats the Gods honest truth. Thats because some things are bigger than me.
So close...:)
63-28
No one is beating them.
Texas
Florida
Auburn
Alabama
Georgia
Oklahoma
Supposedly each of these teams had
a defense that would shut LSU down...
Joe Burrow just laughs!
