Regis Philbin and his wife Joy have put their Greenwich, Conn., home on the market — at a much lower price than they bought it.

The 13,661-square-foot residence is selling for $4.595 million, according to the listing. That price is actually 36 percent less than what the Philbins paid for it almost 10 years ago, The Wall Street Journal reported.

“Every seller in Greenwich is having to adjust to this market,” the property’s listing agent, Joseph Barbieri of Sotheby’s International Realty Greenwich Brokerage told FOX Business. […]

The English Manor-inspired house has six bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms, according to the listing.

It also has seven fireplaces, mahogany library, a billiard room, a “pub room” with a full bar, a home theater, sauna, gym and a wine cellar, the listing said. […]

Amenities on the property also include a one-bedroom guest house and garages to fit five cars, the listing said. …

People are escaping the ruinous taxation of CT, and high-end home prices reflect this?

This is only surprising to morons with no clue about supply and demand and the long-term effects of Leftist policy.

I miss Regis, a true performer and entertainer. I believe he had multiple heart bypasses surgeries.

I’m sure those property taxes will drop by 36%, too.

Trump ending SALT deductibility is contributing to the loss of real estate market value in states with high state and local taxes.

The rich leaving high tax states reminds me of the Easter Island saga (as I’ve heard it). Who will be the first to realize that there are no more tax payers in the state?

Mine is rather small. I’m sitting in it right now. There is an elevated floor for the altar, and there are tall narrow windows behind it facing the church.
I live in a former convent.
What are you wearing, laplata?

It’s great until you can’t find your car keys, or when you have an elderly relative who can’t stand locked exterior doors and there are a dozen of them.

Twelve bathrooms for just six bedrooms...just wow.

I can’t imagine living in a place like that.

Nice, but if I could afford something like that, I would rather have two or three smaller homes. One for winter, one for summer, and maybe one as a hunting / fishing camp.

Pretty house but: I would sure hate to have enough drone guests to fill all those chase lounges.

My two chairs out behind the barn looking across the pond suit us just fine.

Looks like they have lost a few shrubs. Hard to keep a place like that maintained properly.
