Reagan announced his candidacy in November, the latest of any candidate to win the election. However his state committees were already working hard to meet registration deadlines.
I'm not concerned with Hillary as Trump would create the best comedy routine around her. I am concerned with Bloomberg. He has the track record and money to run a good candidacy.
When would be the latest date for him to enter as a Democrat candidate?
Third party candidates would just split the Democrat votes.
Bloomberg would never win the democrat primary. He was a republican until recently. His positions on taxes and healthcare don’t match well with the socialist agenda.
The filing deadline for the New Hampshire primary is November 15th. So Hillary and him have until next week to jump in.
Looks like it’s a state decision. I could be wrong.
I was just reviewing “270 to Win” Website and they show the Republicans winning the Senate and the House.
I disagree with some of their predictions such as Cartwright in Pennsylvania, a Dem in a Trump winning district.
Bloomberg was NEVER a Republican
He just REGISTERED as one for convenience in NYC to be Mayor
Wat.
There are a lot of subcurrents regarding impeachment and this is just one of them...
Wow. Is that a shift? I seem to recall them being somewhat negative on the GOP’s outlook for 2020.
Do Democrats follow their own rules?
I know this doesnt answer your question. But as far as Im concerned, the last date for a Democrat is July 13, 2020. Thats the opening day of the Democrat national convention.
So if there is a brokered convention, Hillary, Michelle, etc. have at least until then to announce their interest, and then jump into the race. And Ill bet thats Hillarys plan anyway. Shes not quite done yet.
It won’t matter. Buttigieg will be the nominee. And he will lose to Trump. The rest will reload, or wait, for 2024.
That’s not a bad date, but I remember Bob Toricelli dropping out the Senate campaign a month out (it wasn’t the corruption, but because he wasn’t polling well over it), and some judge still let Lautenberg’s name be put on the ballot, who went on to win.
Few weeks ago Hannity had a guy on TV and explained the process. I can’t recall exactly, however November and December come to mind for many states. Evidently there is tons of paperwork required for each state, and can vary from state to state. That’s what I know
eARLIER TODAY i HAD TO DIG AND RE-PHRASE MY REQUEST TO GET THE HILLORY PARODY ABOUT REMEMBERING AND HER HEAD FULL OF JELLO
fOR A WHILE, i THOUGHT IT HAD DISAPPEARED.
i'VE NOTICED THE TREND MORE IN THE LAST MONTH OR SO.
AWW SHIT Caps lock on .... I'm sorry
and too lazy to go back
As far as Skunk Cabbage is concerned, the last day for a Democrat presidential contender to enter the race is the last day of their convention next summer - the day she intends to announce.
“Do Democrats follow their own rules?”
Exactly. RAT rules are merely suggestions.
For Hillary, it is whenever she wants to jump in. Up to (and maybe even after) the Democrat convention.
She will come in at the last minute to "save" the party. That way, she won't have to go through the grueling primary process.
Hillary never plays by the rules, and they let her.
You are correct-the information is not easy to find, and every state has their own rules and deadlines.
Deadlines for filing to get on a primary ballot are easy to find.
For the general election, the deadlines are found in this document, which applied to the 2016 election. 2020 should be similar.

It appears that all candidates (major party, third party, or independent) must petition each state to appear on the general election ballot. Since it’s possible to have a party nominate a candidate who didn’t appear in the primaries (brokered convention), those petitions are critical.
An interesting question, which doesn’t seem to have an answer, is what would happen if a candidate died or became incapacitated before the general election and after the deadline for the ballot petitions. That would probably have to be decided by the US Supreme Court.
I hope this helps!
Once again;
She spent 1.4 billion dollars and still lost a rigged election to a political nobody.
She will never be a candidate for anything ever again.
