Florida State has fired coach Willie Taggart, the school announced Sunday. In a statement, Florida State athletic director David Coburn said the university "had no choice but to make a change." The Seminoles went 9-12 under Taggart, who was hired from Oregon prior to last season to replace Jimbo Fisher, who left the school to take over at Texas A&M.

Either FSU is going to try to beat everyone else to the punch and land Urban Meyer or there is more to the story than just a 9-12 record. Seems pretty early in my opinion. I would think he would get at least to the end of the season and probably another year after he is given the be-good-or-be-gone speech.
