Just like in Germany from 1933 to 1938, the federal police were replaced the good people with those who did what they were told and enjoyed attacking the people. That is how it is done.
Look at how many generals and admirals were “replaced” during obama’s regime while “democrat” generals/admirals were retained. McRaven is a perfect example of the obama, democrat admiral.

Certainly a LOT of the local sheriffs and police departments are not going to go door to door to collect them, as they are sure to run into a storm of protest by - people who are armed and with no intention to give up those arms.
Are the Democrat authoritarians going to send in their jackbooted thugs? Then the resistance becomes all the more organized, and yes, deadly. After, all, from where are they going to recruit these enforcers? The Army, maybe? Are US military willing to fire upon their own countrymen? But an independent paramilitary force, just as numerous, just as well armed as the military and/or police, MIGHT be persuaded this is the way to rapid advancement and acclaim, but where would these people come from?
