Obese people eat more food because it simply tastes better, a new study has found.
Researchers at the University of Iowa gave chocolate to a group of obese and non-obese women and found that as the obese group kept eating the food continued to taste almost as good to them as the first bite.
The findings suggest that understanding taste perceptions may be crucial to preventing obesity when combined with targeting nutritional awareness.
“If people with obesity have different taste perceptions than nonobese people, it could lead to better understanding of obesity,” lead investigator Linnea Polgreen noted, according to News Medical.

Then there are the habbits of eating while watching TV, and watching a LOT of TV. And eating at McDonald’s a lot, and “stress eating”.

Yes, I believe it. Fat people I have known LOVE food. Fat, Sugar, Frozen Fish Sticks right out of the freezer, etc. But I am fat now too. I eat less but I think metablolism slows down once we are elderly. Then we get super skinny as we get really old. That is how my family did.
My uncle would have been 102 this month. Richard Thoos Hargrove... MIA WWII B 17 Over France. The men on his side of our family were all 6 ft 3 inches or taller, and never got fat. On my mom’s side the men stayed thin but the aunts all got fat for a while.

One thing I know, my husband has a sweet tooth, and diabetes, and I have neither. My main problems is that I am a very good cook, and a really good eater! LOL
I never even got morning sickness while pregnant with our 3 kids. Not once. I can eat a whole cow. LOL That 7 lb steak you have to eat in 1 hour in Amarillo.... I could do that EASY! I eat like a pig. And I have 3 kids, so no sex ain’t my problemo! LOL

Well, I’m not “fat”, per se, but yeah. I avoid all fast foods and have for decades. But for many it is a contributing factor. And donuts. And corn chips. And milk. and ice cream...
What is amazing to me is that the poorest are now the most likely to be obese, something that has never happened before anywhere. Every time I see threads about civil war or even sustained conflict about to spark off, I am kind of reassured that nothing like that has ever happened while the poorest of a nation were so amazingly fat and entertained. I guess there could be a first time for anything, but it’s hard to imagine at least while these conditions persist.

If President Trump makes any comment on this subject, the media will claim the word “obesity” is racist, and Trump is using it as a “dog whistle.”
Being taller helps. I’m a little fat at 5’8”. If I go to lunch with someone 6’3” and we both eat the same food and the same amount, I may get fat while he remains slim just because I have less area to spread out the food.
They also like sitting on their asses more, and like watching tv more than other people.
Wheres my million dollar govt grant?

After my head injury some 12 plus years ago, I was home 5 years. LONG and nasty recovery but 95 percent good :)
I went from 220 to 435. YES you read that last number correctly.
Now I’m in the high 200s.
And I STARVED to lose it.
Anyone tells you you’re gonna lose over 100 pounds without being hungry a lot is LYING. :)
Thing is you eat out of despair and SO MUCH.
I tell the brain injured vets (i am not one) to Not ADD another problem which is the weight gain.
Now I have to drop the last 60 and i’ll still by pudgy but i’ll live :)
And the people that buy and MAKE the food for people that heavy are just as guilty.

I never eat fast food. They are all horrible. As soon as you walk into those places they want your order before you read the menu. Can’t stand that! We cook 99% of our meals at home, so my fat cells are MY fault!~ LOL
