Epic fail. Make them pay for that stupid decision.

The media hopes many people do not read past the headlines and react with emotion.

Are you saying the media is hoping it will crash and burn?

If it’s still about James Bond, but some chick is temporarily given his number, which he gets back, that actually is an interesting story - and it is still about James Bond. Of course, nowadays, like the other movies, I’ll just wait until it’s free on Amazon Prime.

I would have been game to watch it .... until I saw the actress.

I was personally hoping for somebody like Hope Hicks, not some hybrid cross over of Sheila Jackson Lee, Oprah, and Maxine Waters.

I’m sure there are way more pretty hot women of color that could have filled that role. The franchise is dying fast, like the U.S.

You would think that blacks make up over 50% of the population the way the media and Hollywood put them in our face.

Blacks make up less than 13% but require all the attention and headlines.

The only places they deserve their over representation is football, basketball, and in our prison system.

Sorry but I am not feeling any white guilt.

Might as well make her a transsexual lesbian furrie and get it over with in one fell swoop. As long as hesheit takes its gin martini shaken, not stirred.

Hah! Our summer viewing means binge watching Burn Notice. We’re now up to season 4. It’s one of those rare shows that both my wife and I really love watching.

Movies have gotten ho-hum. If we want to see anything we stream off Amazon prime when it’s free. Frankly, I’m surprised more people don’t do that. We have a better screen and sound system than our local theater, the floor isn’t sticky and there are no parking and traffic hassles.

And the theaters don’t sell ladyfinger popcorn, and many don’t serve beer.

Another chance for the liberals to point at the (obvious ) box office failure and blame it on white privileged, conservative, racist, sexist pigs.

007 was not the type of guy I’d want for my daughter, but at least he was not into feminist de-genderizing.

Sean Connery is the only 007 of any consequence.
All others are poor copies.

"James Bond" works in a 10-year window - say 1947 to 1857. It's based on a WWII spy who continues after the was is over. And the person James Bond is Toxic Masculinity in a tuxedo.

After 1957 Bond is approaching age 50, and the dangers in the real world have changed also. Trying to keep the character portrayal at ages 35-40 with each succeeding year puts him in the same universe of denial as Archie and Jughead, or Spiderman. Eventually the original James Bond gets a plaque and a headstone, and maybe a portrait at HQ for Q. And the next generation takes over.

The Roger Moore movies had a chance to move on, but decided to stay in the original character. Maybe it was because they felt obligated to run through all of the original novels. But after that, there was no excuse to carry the same character on.

With all of that, I enjoyed the Sean Connery movies, and after that the cartoon aspects (360 degree spin AMC cars) and stretching the '50's into the 1980's got to be too much. I suppose whoever owns the rights needs to amortize the balance of the investment, and Hollywood had fewer new ideas each year, so there probably will be more of these plot twists. I will save my popcorn money for other things.

I want my 007 sipping martinis and chasing women. Of course, who knows. Maybe this 007 will be doing both of those. The plotline could be that she’s a retired soccer player or basketball star.

Did you just read the headline? And not see a picture of her?

I don’t think the 15 year olds will be very interested. They can find better.

You’re the one “reacting emotionally”.

I won’t watch it.
Not because the new 007 is black, or because the new 007 is a woman, but because it is a propaganda film.

I’m sure others see it the same way.
