In a society so awash with perversion in film, on television, celebrating homosexuality and permitting homosexual marriage how is it that the Left thinks any of this kind of thing matters?

Politics has always been “dirty”. And to be honest, I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Each party in an odd sort of way kept each other “honest”. The problem today is the unbalance of coverage between the two major parties.
I believe the problem began in the 1950s. Television played a role in destroying newspapers. At one time every major (and usually even smaller) cities had at least two newspapers each with a different viewpoint. They even advertised their point of view in the name of the newspaper “Democrat” or “Republican”
Newspapers survived on advertisement as much as they did on subscription. Television began taking some of the ad revenue away from newspapers. Soon there was not enough advertising to support more than one paper and so they were combined and bought out. In the end most newspapers today lean left (pro Democrat). Same with television news and same with our educational system and entertainment.
So Americans today are for the most part are only getting one point of view. Even Republicans in office are not standing up to the left (since I now believe most Republicans are RINOs it is to be expected they stay quiet).
I have no answer on how to change this situation. It will take something really drastic to change the direction we are headed.
