Tokyo Rose was much more sofisticated, personable and demure than Sen. Mazi Hirono of Hawii... and a much better propagandist too. But as for looks, eh, about the same.

Senator Hirono needs to be censured for her behavior, kicked of committee.
The American media makes the Russian media appear as impartial, fair and legitimate. Tokyo Rose was a piker compared to what’s left of CNN etc.

I remember a while back when I was little seeing clothing at Nordstrom called “Tokyo Rose”, I asked my dad if I can have one of their smaller blouses and he almost had a coronary when he saw it. That line lasted about a week before it was pulled. I wonder what happened to the buyer of that line.

there were about 20 females who broadcast in English over Japanese radio services during WWII. None of them used the nickname "Tokyo Rose." Most of them were Japanese, but the most famous was Iva Toguri, and American who broadcast under the name Orphan Ann.

Iva Toguri was convicted of treason and did six years of a 10-year sentence. She was pardoned in 1977.
No one has been executed for treason since the Civil War. The few convictions since seem to draw about 10-year sentences. Most people using the word treason are not using it in its American legal sense.

I can’t speak from first hand experience but I’ve heard from fellow GI’s who were stationed in Hawaii that it is overrun with obnoxious “natives” like Hirono.
I wouldn’t spend a dime there. All Dems never vote for GOP.
Also, to expensive for what you get.
I live in Florida, so if I am going for beaches they have to be better than our beaches, and people have to be at least as friendly.
We are heading into the summer now all the snowbirds are going north and its easier to get dinner reservations at the best restaurants in West Palm and Boca.
Hirono is the face of Hawaii, really we should boycott them.
