Conspiracy theory - A. Pelosi knew that a FF of biblical portions was going to happen. Another commenter stated that both President and Vice President were at White House. If something happened to both of them - Pelosi next in line for Presidency. She was taking her entire family with her to protect them and herself in case things went South or B. she knew she was going to be arrested and was trying to get away.

That’s the kind of statement that Trump and Pence asked Comey to make about there being no evidence of collusion and that Trump was not under investigation. Comey refused to make the statement, and that is in part why he was fired.

He can’t let the Dems off the hook, especially if there is a way to RIF a lot of the swamp using the shutdown. Better way to approach it is to say that he will declare emergency and use money available to the military to build the wall, but he won’t sign a budget until it includes a provision to pay for the wall and repay the military for what he has to use under the military’s budget. That gives us the wall, and forces the Dems to eventually cave in.
