TV By The Numbers by zap2it.com Primary Menu TV Ratings Tuesday: ‘The Flash’ ticks up, ‘The Conners’ dips ALEX WELCHDECEMBER 5, 2018

Broadcast primetime live + same-day ratings for Tuesday, December 4, 2018

The numbers for Tuesday:

Time Show Adults 18-49 rating/share Viewers (millions) 8 p.m. The Voice (NBC) 1.4/7 8.84 The Conners (ABC) 1.3/6 6.63 NCIS (CBS) 1.2/5 11.84 The Gifted (FOX) 0.7/3 2.06 The Flash (The CW) 0.7/3 1.76 8:30 p.m. The Kids Are Alright (ABC) 0.8/3 4.33 9 p.m. FBI (CBS) 1.0/5 9.63 A Saturday Night Live Christmas (NBC) (8-10 p.m.) – S 1.0/5 4.10 Black-ish (ABC) 0.8/3 3.54 Lethal Weapon (FOX) 0.7/3 2.86 Black Lightning (The CW) 0.3/1 0.99 9:30 p.m. Splitting Up Together (ABC) 0.6/3 2.79 10 p.m. NCIS: New Orleans (CBS) 0.8/3 8.25 The Rookie (ABC) 0.7/3 4.17

It was either a steady or down night for most of the Tuesday primetime shows this week.

Without “New Amsterdam” or “This is Us,” NBC still won the night, but was noticeably down from a week ago. “The Voice” kicked things off with a 1.4 rating in adults 18-49, a tenth less than what it had scored last Tuesday. It was followed by a 2-hour “Saturday Night Live” Christmas special, which posted a 1.0 with 4.10 million viewers, down two-tenths from last year’s “SNL” special.

After taking last week off, “NCIS” (1.2), “FBI” (1.0), and “NCIS: New Orleans” (0.8) all returned even with their previous episodes. FOX’s “The Gifted” (0.7) and “Lethal Weapon” (0.7) both held steady week-to-week as well.

It was a down night for ABC, however, as “The Conners” (1.3), “The Kids Are Alright” (0.8), “Black-ish” (0.8), “Splitting Up Together” (0.6), and “The Rookie” (0.7) each fell a tenth. The CW’s “The Flash” was the only show of the night to tick up, rising from its previous 0.6 to a 0.7, while “Black Lightning” maintained a 0.3.

Nearly 4 million viewers have quit watching since the October premiere. And millions more since last season.

How do we find the fox news ratings for Monday the 3rd when people were told to watch Hannity for huge breaking news?

We stopped watching Arrow and Supergirl when they went lesbo. Good series otherwise but we don’t appreciate being propagandized.

Wife was channel surfing last night and stopped on The Conners. We’ve never seen any of the episodes. After five minutes we agreed we hadn’t seen one thing that was funny.

The “Arrow” female bisexual character has moved to another show (”Legends of Tomorrow”). But they still have a gay supporting character (Mr. Terrific). Since in the comics he’s a bit of a ladies man, not a good look, IMO.

As far as “Supergirl” is concerned, yes her sister is still referred to as a lesbian, but in reality she’s been chaste since the middle of last season.

What’s more concerning is the close association of the protagonists this year (the anti-aliens Children of Liberty) to President Trump’s campaign to curtail the illegal alien invasion. As far as they’re concerned, disapproval of unlimited immigration, legal or otherwise, is the equivalent of KKK-like bigotry.

Hollywood writers are totally divorced from the real world.

We have been watching both on Netflix so we are still or were catching up.

First seasons for both were very entertaining. But apparently the writers run out of ideas around second season and want to get creative so they introduce homosexuality. This seems to be a common theme.

We also watched the Fist which was pretty good and held true to no homosexuality. But we haven't watched the latest season.

Ya, they eventually toss in global warming and illegal immigration. Seems like both of these shows got preachy this way.

Anyway, we stopped watching.

A couple of questions, in case anyone knows...

Firstly, how do streaming services factor in to these ratings?

Also, we are considering dropping Direct TV and switching to Hulu for even day to day tv broadcast channels. Apparently it was added as recently as August (not too sure). The cost is incredibly low compared to DTV. We have grown unhappy with DTV since, after the latest update, everything seems incredibly slow and it has been losing some of our DVR’d programs. Plus, we have to reset the box a couple of times a week due to odd audio issues. Really annoying. Just not sure if the service is... well, good.

My only regret with making such a switch would be losing One America News.

Do you have the "new and improved" DTV system with a big triangular base and the little Genie mini receivers? I do, and while I seem to "lose" recorded programs, they are really there. They just don't show up on the list. Certain shows seem to drop off the list with regularity. We record Antiques Roadshow to watch at our leisure, and it frequently does not show up. We reboot the Genie mini, and everything returns. Really a PITA.

Why would I watch anything else?

I guess I must be one because I don't recognize the names of nearly any of those shows.

Fifty-year old reruns of Hogan's Heroes on MeTV blow them all away.

I refuse to watch the Conners but the show after it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I really hope it sticks around!

I like “The Rookie,” too. I do watch “Blackish” for the humor, but they do promote the democrat plantation mindset. One great new show is “God Friended Me.” Terrific show, but they did introduce a lesbian in the mix. Same with NCIS: New Orleans. Looks like that didn’t help their ratings. So unnecessary.

@TVGrimReaper

#TheConners anti-fans are still going strong in their fantasy world that doesn’t recognize that it’s still ABC’s second highest rated show.

So why did they fire Channing Dungey? If it’s such a great money maker for them, why did they feel the need to get rid of the woman who made it happen?

Does it take a super man to bring a super woman to orgasm? I've always wondered........

And did Lois Lane ever write a tell all about her sexual relationship with Superman?
