FULL TITLE: Caravan's plea for buses is DENIED: Migrants must walk the remaining 900 miles to nearest US border as Mexico ignores demand for transport
Exhausted men, women and children traveling in the largest of the four caravans headed to the US resumed their journey on foot before dawn Thursday after Mexican authorities refused to provide them with buses.
The migrants planned to take advantage of cool overnight and morning temperatures by hitting the road at 3am in Juchitan for a trek to the town of Matias Romero en route to the Gulf coast city of Veracruz, which is a common transit route toward the nearest Mexico-US border crossing in McAllen, Texas.
Organizers previously said their destination was Santa Maria Jalape del Marques in Oaxaca state, but they have decided to change the planned route.
The migrants will have to walk nearly 40 miles from Juchitan to Matias Romero, and from there it's another 445 miles to Veracruz.
The participants of the 4,000-strong caravan have not said what route they intend to take northward or where on the US border they planned to reach, and Juchitan, still about 900 miles from US soil, was something of a crossroads.
Choosing Jalapa del Marques as the next stop appeared to indicate they are opting to travel via Oaxaca state's eponymous capital instead of turning north toward the Gulf coast state of Veracruz, which is a common transit route toward McAllen, Texas.
On Wednesday evening it became clear that Mexican officials were not acceding to the caravan's demand that dozens of buses be provided to whisk the migrants to Mexico City.
'The attempt to travel by bus failed,' caravan coordinator Walter Cuello acknowledged.

That is hilarious. Those flatbeds weren’t going any faster than walking by the looks of the pictures. The traffic on the highway was horrendous.
Ignored in the concern is the fact that these trucks can go up but then they have to deadhead back empty for another load.

They had one heavyset male invader on TV this morning saying that it would be impossible to walk all that way and worse the road ahead was very dangerous narrow gravel covered up a very steep mountainside. They just had to have buses or some form of transportation to be safe and make it all the way to the US. So many more ‘ha has’ all around.
Or . . . maps showing how far they have yet to walk - and how long it would take to get to the border. That should take the heart out of them.
If the NGO's and non-profits (end them!)helping these "migrants" really wanted to help them, they would get them busses back to their own countries or to the refugee camps in southern Mexico.
Do you believe that there won’t be buses provided to get them near our border? The women and children are simply being used as human shields, same as happens in a war zone by an unscrupulous country.
I can only imagine the pressure we are putting on Mexico to not assist the caravan. That was the point of all the soldiers being sent, and the rocks/rifles comment. Trump is telling Mexico they will NOT cross our border, and the marchers will be left as permanent refugees in Mexico, their problem forever.

When this is discussed by PDJT and talking heads they need to put more focus on how these anchor babies are stealing our American kids’ education, healthcare, etc. They get free tuition to some colleges while American kids have to pay. They go to the head of the line in emergency rooms for free care, while American kids are helped after the illegals, and must pay. (We saw this in California often.). They’re draining Social Security which will gut the monies for Americans. They’re bringing in diseases that can kill our children.
Americans need to understand that the illegals are stealing from Americans in many ways.
I sure hope our military is doing high altitude overflights of Old Mexico for photo-recon purposes to determine the God’s honest “ground truth” on where this group really is and how much progress they make in a day ...
