I was working nights.....and reading The Shining of all things. I’d get home about 2:30 or 2:45 am and start reading because I couldn’t put it down after reading during the day before work. Don’t think I slept for a week. Lol

I could not read “The Shining” when I was alone at home, this was around 1979. I would literally start to think I saw something out of the corner of my eye, then I’d turn and look and—nothing was there. I could only read the book if my husband was in the house.

I decided to read the book again in the early 90’s, but after about the first couple of hundred pages I had to stop. The book scared me too much. LOL
