Vote to confirm, or not confirm, Monday.
Hell no.
What a lame idea.
All signs point to the rats having an “Oh S***” moment over this and wanting it over as soon as possible. They’re blowing their wad on a perfectly innocent and good man. They’re looking at a terrible hand, but now they have to go all-in anyway, but they’re hoping to limit the political backlash. Too late, too many Republican voters are pissed off.
That’s crazy. Just confirm him.
Not just “no”, but “F*&% NO!”
‘rats don’t care about realities like statutes of limitation, legitimate LE agencies or valid investigations - their whole purpose will be to smear Kavanaugh, bog him down with irrational demands for evidence, testimony and documents, and use him to further portray Republicans/conservatives as woman-haters and law-breakers - they’re not about truth, fairness, or effective government - they’re about gaining as much power for themselves to control and ruin the lives for those who don’t agree with them as possible.....
A search of the constitution does not mention anything about “CONDITIONAL CONFIRMATION”. I’m just sayin’
I think the only choices would be:
a. recess appointment - adjourn the Senate, allow Trump to appoint Kavanaugh in a recess appointment. It would expire at the end of the next session (end of 2019) or until he is voted out (by majority vote).
b. If not a recess appointment, it would require impeachment and conviction to remove him.
The hearing is scheduled on the Senate website. No change so far.
No, vote and confirm. This circus train has run on long enough.
