My favorite place to surf fish is Cape Lookout, NC. Access via 4x4 only. If you get a strong hit on the line after 4:00pm you can put money on it that it’s a shark.
The local park concessionaire has a tram car they pull behind a truck to haul tourists out there who promptly start swimming in the surf and beyond. Idiots.

There’s big cliffs there, 4x4 wheeler might be able to get down the sand trail to the beach but not an ambulance.
And Cape Cod Hospital is at least an hour away from this beach, which is in the middle of nowhere.
