Well, they could not afford to keep their military up-to-date. Can’t you see? They needed the money to supply welfare to all of the new immigrants!

"...it had problems floating..." ...but isn't a sub supposed to sink????

Reminds me of the guided missile cruiser, the USS Long Beach, whose mast carried a unit so top heavy it made the ship list dangerously in swells. So they added tons of lead along the keel. That helped, but it made the Long Beach so heavy, she couldn’t move fast enough to fulfill her support mission.
A complete waste of money.

I think I know the sub captain. Eduardo Corrochio!
To: Gamecock
[ The original problem with the submarine dates back to 2013, when it was discovered that it was about 100 tons heavier than it needed to be. ]
I won’t say that I had a mother-in-law like that. Because I didn’t.

George Costanza: Well, somebody’s got to be at the dock to unhook the thing! Maybe I could be a land guy.

Once Elaine gets enough bad subs at Atomic Sub, she becomes a Submarine Captain.
To: Gamecock
If the sub doesn`t float, you must demote.

I’m guessing that pool on deck is a salt water pool, right?
Can you imagine the forms you have to fill out for the EPA if you get chlorine in the world’s oceans?

According to some of the liberal academics I bump into
this stuff can’t happen when using the metric system.
As if it cures everything.

At our former family business which took up a square block, the new owners announced a $30 million dollar project to build apartments and commercial space.
A year later they announced a $45 million dollar project as they discovered a high water table and had to redesign.
I could have told them about the high water table as I lived 2 doors down from the business at one time and had my basement flooded due to a big rain storm to a depth of 2 feet....
