It was a way to get the anons, the least likely to fall for anything, interested and involved, they had to dig up the dirt themselves and figure out the puzzles. Brilliant strategy for that crowd. If you notice, Q is getting less and less oblique as the phenomenon is spreading to more and more normal people. There is an end game approaching.
