Britain deserves title of 'World’s Worst Genocide Perpetrator'
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation ^ | 2018 | Maria Zakharova

Posted on 06/22/2018 11:03:24 AM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

Briefing by Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova, Moscow, April 19, 2018

On April 13, UK Ambassador to Russia Laurie Bristow said that “the Russian state has a record in state-sponsored assassinations including in the UK.” It is not the first Russophobic statement made by a UK official...but it’s not the main point... Maybe the UK Ambassador does not know his own country’s history, role and involvement in processes that took place in other countries over the past centuries...

Let’s start with modern history...Britain was one of the most ruthless metropolises in terms of the repressive actions it took in its colonies and dependent territories...Today we will be speaking about details. The establishment of concentration camps in the Boer War that later inspired the Nazis’ death camps, the cultural annihilation of kingdoms and palaces from Ashanti to Beijing, British army massacres in Ireland and the devastation of Bengal, the industrial-scale exploitation of natural resources and the slave trade...

"The Russian artist Vasily Vereshchagin has a famous picture, “The Devil’s Wind.” This is not a symbolic comparison. The canvas shows a type of execution invented by the British to crush the 19th-century Sepoy Mutiny in India..."

"In the 1870s, on the orders of the British authorities, a genocide of Zulus was perpetrated in the Cape Colony and in 1954-1961 of the Kikuyu people in Kenya...The British authorities massacred 300,000 Kikuyus and sent 1.5 million to work camps. An account of these events is given in the book by Caroline Elkins titled The Untold Story of Britain’s Gulag in Kenya."

"In his book Inglorious Empire released in 2017, Dr Tharoor cited the atrocities of the British Empire, stating that Winston Churchill, should be regarded as one of the cruellest dictators of the 20th century..."

Uh, ‘terroressa may’ whining about our immigration issue? Gee, maybe the brits would like to go back about 70 years and see how the treated the Jews trying to create a state. What, nothing to say? Odd.

It is also to be remembered that it was the Brits who instituted the first concentration camps during the Boer War - thousands of women and children died from starvation, neglect and disease. During the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg after WW2 Goering (head of the concentration system) said he got the idea from the Brits.

The British Empire delivered the benefits of civilization to vast swaths of the world which absent that influence would still be mired in savagery and barbarianism to this day.

Indee many places from which the Empire retreated are today are rapidly backsliding into primitive conditions.

It would only mean something if a person in Zakharova’s position would give an account of the crimes of Russia and the Soviet Union.

Zimbabwe and Pakistan are two examples of countries now devolving.

And most of the remaining countries in the "British Commonwealth" are loyal to the Queen and do foresee leaving. Some are even hoping to join: like Rwanda.

The British did indeed develop the modern atrocity.

But it took the Communists to perfect it.

For the Russians, of all people, to criticize British atrocities is sheer hypocrisy. Stalin alone killed multiple times more people in his 25 year reign than the British did in several centuries, inclusive of their atrocities in Ireland and South Africa, not to mention the deaths of 10,000 American soldiers in prison ships during our War for Independence. At least three million died during the Ukrainian famine, which unlike the Irish potato famine was not an act of nature, but a deliberate policy to exterminate the kulaks by confiscating all the food. Untold millions of Russians and other nationalities were worked or starved to death in the Gulag Archipelago. Tens of thousands of Christian (mainly Orthodox) clergy were killed, many in the most cruel and inhumane manner possible. Then there were the mass rapes, murders, and looting of eastern Germany by the Soviet hordes in 1945. Their treatment of Poles, Czechs, and others, while less severe, was most brutal, with mass murders of anti-Communists, looting, and rape.

Unlike the Nazis, most of whose leaders were executed or sentenced to long prison terms, the Communists never faced judgment for their crimes. Most Soviet leaders died in their own beds, living off generous pensions. Ditto for the Eastern European Communist leaders, with a few exceptions, like Ceausescu.

The Russians should just shut up and deal with their own sordid history, particularly from 1918 to 1991, before criticizing Britain or America.

Pot, Kettle.... however, nobody forgets the Russian, German, or Chinese genocides. So it is useful to remind people that places like the UK and Belgium for example, are built on a pile of skulls.

It is illegal in Modern China to talk about the crimes of Mao Zedong and the victims of the 'Cultural Revolution'

This was a headline from a Russian English paper today: "Many Russians no Longer Hold Stalin Liable for WWII deaths" - can google.

And: The Brits and Germans DO acknowledge their crimes, and they are overcompensating with counterproductive POLITICAL CORRECTNESS hence the migrant crisis! Same goes for our liberal revisionists here at home. Tearing down statues even of Jefferson and Washington!

Churchill, a dictator? Clearly not an awfully good one since he was voted out of office in 1945.

Russia is the comedy that just runs and runs lately.

The British Empire delivered the benefits of civilization to vast swaths of the world which absent that influence would still be mired in savagery and barbarianism to this day.

The India Indentured Servitude was slavery in all but name including fugitives being hunted down. Millions were shipped in hellish conditions to British colonies around the world. It wasn't eliminated until 1917.

We get the word 'Concentration Camp' from the British who locked up Boer women and children in the camps where they died of starvation and exposure by the 10,000's.

Some benefit...

The Russians should just shut up and deal with their own sordid history, particularly from 1918 to 1991, before criticizing Britain or America.

There is a term in Psychology known as "Projection" -- it's like when racist liberals and elites in the U.S. falsely accuse President Trump of racism, because they are too in denial to look at their OWN selves in the mirror.

I found Ms. Zakharova's briefing incredible in its sheer length, yes -- but probably the most obvious case study of suppressed guilt and using projection to cope.

Psychological projection is a defense mechanism people subconsciously employ in order to cope with difficult feelings or emotions. Psychological projection involves projecting undesirable feelings or emotions onto someone else, rather than admitting to or dealing with the unwanted feelings.

Too late...Islam has the title since the 11th Century invasion of India...If the totals since the homicicdal maniac brigand Mohammed started his murder cult are factored in, it is unlikely we will see the title taken away from the towelheads in the foreseeable future, if ever...
