After receiving one of the honors at the MTV Awards on Monday night, actor Chris Pratt made sure that his speech would have an impact. The actor, who won the Generation Award, quickly thanked those who stood behind him in life before moving onto a faith-based message.
Listen up! he said to the camera. This is what I call nine rules from Chris Pratt, Generation Award winner.
The comedy and action star then ran through a two-and-a-half minute list, a combination of serious and humorous rules that all young people should follow as they go through life.
The list:
1. Breathe. If you dont, youll suffocate.
2. You have a soul. Be careful with it.
3. Dont be a turd.
4. When giving a dog medicine, put the medicine in a hamburger.
5. Earn it.
6. God is real.
7. A very complicated rule about using the restroom at parties.
8. Learn to pray.
9. Nobody is perfect.
Pratt encouraged the audience to appreciate the grace in the United States before stepping off stage. Like the freedom we enjoy in this country, that grace was paid for with somebody elses blood do not forget it, he said.

He said said the silly/potty ones to make the young audience laugh, and still said the important things. It was a wise path to take for that specific audience.
Pleasantly surprised that the crowd applauded and cheered.
And they cheered the loudest at the God references. There may be hope.
So what was the restroom rule?
I try to remember to pray for Chris Pratt now and again. From what Ive read his sons premature birth and health struggles profoundly affected him. He strikes me as a baby Christian who is trying to navigate Hollywood after coming to faith. Imagine what a hard place that would be.
I agree with your evaluation of him and his circumstance.
Wow. Im impressed he did this.

He has rule of proper bathroom etiquette .
(
BTW , I like Aubrey Plaza.)
A good presentation by Chris Pratt. Although I don’t know how his rule #7 fits in other than a lame piece of humor.
Thanks for the ping. I especially like his rule #3. A lot more people should follow that one.

Basically, if you’re at a party and need to poop, go. Basically, pee first - get all the pee out. Then, poop and flush, quickly. It minimizes the time the poop contacts the air, and you’re not spreading the smell around by peeing on it.
He had several “what the?” looks from his fellow celebs during this portion of his list.
My nightmare scenario is when you are at a party at somebody’s house and you walk into the bathroom and someone has left a mess on and around the toilet (missed?). What if you don’t clean it up and somebody is waiting to use the bathroom when you walk out?...
If you haven't seen "Safety Not Guaranteed" you should. Aubrey Plaza at her best and a pretty good movie.
