Father of Texas Shooter to Greek Antenna News: My Son Isn’t a Criminal, He’s a Victim
The Pappas Post ^ | May 19, 2018 | Gregory Pappas

Posted on 05/19/2018 11:16:18 PM PDT by Trump20162020

In a sometimes-surreal interview with Greek television news channel Antenna, Antonios Pagourtzis, the father of the accused school shooter in Texas said that his son wasn’t a criminal, but a victim.

His comment came during a telephone interview that the network broadcast on their newscast in Greece.

Pagourtzis denied any responsibility in his son’s murderous rampage that killed ten people in a Texas school, criticizing people who said that there was blood on his guns.

“The guns were clean,” Pagourtzis said in the interview, adding that he as hurt that a lot of the negative press about him was coming from his homeland, Greece.

But the most shocking statement in the interview was when the grieving father stated categorically that his son wasn’t a criminal— but, in fact, a victim. He blamed others who may have “bothered” his son, whom he described as a strong kid.

This boy was entering adulthood, though, according to what we are told by recent studies, his brain will not be fully mature until somewhere in the early 20a. Before that, judgment can be very flawed. However, the narcissistic personality can be seen during these years and narcissists need to control others above everything else. They crave the spotlight and I believe this kid was just that. Wearing his trench coat every day probably was attention getting for him..Should have been a troubling sign for his parents and others. Political correctness needs to be set aside when it comes to schools. A school is a government property and should be treated with the same security as other government property, because the young human beings in that school have the same problems as does society as a whole. The gun is not to blame. Parents should be the first line of defense in seeing problems in their children but we all know that many, if not most parents leave parenting up to someone else these days and will most likely defend bad behavior in their children. Fathers are absent and that is a REAL problem. Blame the NRA, blame society, blame anyone or anything else other than what is true and you have the American media today. That is why nothing gets better and almost everything gets worse, If you are a parent of a K-12 student, try to get your child out of a government run school, for, aside from school shootings, too many have become institutions of leftist indoctrination anyway. We have reached the crisis point on all counts. This has to stop.

Was the kid on “antidepressants”? That would account for it.

I will forgive any parent’s denial, especially when it comes out of left field with little to no warning specifically. It is still stupid, but I forgive him.

“Sorry. As a father, he failed major. And still doesn’t get it.”

They interviewed a boy in his class, and he said the shooter was bullied by classmates and coaches throughout his years in school. He was forced to sit alone at school. Was a “loner.”

Yeah...if you’re bullied by others, you certainly will be a “loner.” Same with the Parkland shooter....bullied and ostracized.

I don’t understand why teachers aren’t taught to pick up on this stuff and do something about it....to help the “loner” and to stop the bullying. Too many suicides and shootings are a result of this ignorance. Kids keep it from their parents, but teachers and other kids know what’s going on.

Believers in Jesus do not murder people

They just don’t.

So true! We may fight bravely and courageously against incredible odds. Think George Washington at Valley Forge. We may even target our righteous anger. Think Jesus himself driving the money changers from the Temple. We may even slay those who have come to slay us and those we love. Think Alvin York.

But we will never, ever, in our right minds slay some random group of people because some girl in that group would not date us. The very thought of committing such a horrific act is repugnant to any real Christian.

That sums it up nicely. Unfortunately, that outburst of teenage angst is going to give the gun grabbers a lot of encouragement.

When I was a teenager, the local barber was a mid aged Greek man who personified the things mentioned in your post. He would often start in on me asking why a good looking young boy like myself did not have a girlfriend (I did not date in high school) and would make rude and embarrassing comments as such.

He and his remarks were among the things that made the high school dating and social scene during those heady days in the 1980s seem as appealing to me as doing the outdoor walk at the top of the CN Tower in Toronto.

As an openly conservative kid growing up in communist NYC I was picked on by a group of leftists. My father told me when you find one of them alone, knock him on his @ss. I applied that to several of them. Problem solved.

There is no excuse for shooting up a school.

And I guess the same sort of thing applied to the parents of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. Who here remembers the pipe bombs and the materials discovered in one of the perpetrators’ bedroom?

“Schizophrenia, if that’s what it is, often settles in during late adolescence.”

Yes, this is true. But is there any reason to think this kid was schizophrenic or otherwise insane? The girl rejected him, he killed her and a bunch of other people, but then his nerves failed him and he did not kill himself as he had planned to do. That’s vicious and evil, but is it indicative of insanity?

Unless you want to say that all mass murderers are insane. But, to me, to say someone is insane means that they are detached from reality in some way. Like when Hinkley shot Reagan in an effort to impress Jody Foster.

Damn good thing every guy who has been rejected or had the crap beat out of him at one time or another doesn’t react the same way. There would be carnage everywhere. This prick was a one of a kind with zero conscience...sociopath.

Firstly, I do not understand why kids who are bullied by coaches or other teachers are not held accountable in any of these killings where students report just such bullying. Those teachers should be fired period.

Secondly I do not understand why the school counselor (they still have those people, right?) was not interacting with the administration and teachers and the students to stop all bullying.

Like most of the shooters we have read about, the word “loner” has described them. If that is coupled with “being bullied”, I don’t understand why action is not taken?

Are school administrators including the counselor afraid of the parents? Is that the basis for most of the problems in public schools? Considering how illiterate our kids are after going to school for years and years, maybe it it time to get rid of government funded schools?
