I give this ‘marriage’ five years. Tops.

You are more optimistic than I am; I've been saying two years, tops.

Just think about it, Diana and Sarah Ferguson were born and raised in this system. They couldn't take it --- some bi-racial American actress is going to do better?

I didn’t watch it. I can’t go to any website, turn on any radio station, without breathless highlights being passed along. I’m sitting in an auto shop while my car is being worked on and I’m being bombarded by “royal wedding” news.

“They couldn’t take it -— some bi-racial American actress is going to do better? “

Maybe. After all, she has spent her life dealing with a highly dysfunctional family. OTOH, her coping mechanism seems to be running away.

Compelling evidence. Yet, for me, the bottom line on the Royals is that the lot of them were once upstaged by Pippa Middleton’s rear end.

What a truly snarky thing to say.

I watched the wedding and it was beautiful.

Try to have a nice day.

I had to stop and ask myself why I was not always a cello fan. I checked YouTube and he is stunning ... and, yes, only 19!

That song would have been more appropriate for the reception. In a church wedding, the couple should inveigh God to stand by them and be their shelter when they are afraid.

Somebody wise once said, “True love is not gazing into each other’s eyes; but looking out together in the same direction.”

The dumbing down of the Royals. Sad

Harry is the biological son of Charles. In all the past twenty years that this ugly rumor about his parentage has been floating around, and given that Harry was at one time third in line to the throne, do you think for one second that the royals haven’t had his DNA tested? Don’t smear the man for what his foolish parents did on the side.

Looking into her eyes. I would.t trust her as far as I could throw her. Harry really messed up.

Don't be a common gossip. See my post just above. Harry greatly resembles Charles' father when he was young. Harry is Charles' biological son.

Prince Harry’s got that Jungle Fever.

I've been afraid to say that. Yes, he does and one day he's going to wake up and realize his mistake. She could be black, white, green or purple but he's got it bad. Unfortunately, he'll wake up too late. What we witnessed this morning was Liz officially announcing the end of the British monarchy. She's old and tired of trying to find a single brain cell within any of the off spring. This is it. The end. Finished. Stick a fork in it. It's done.

They should package up all that horse manure the coach drove through and sell it as souvenirs.

He’d have fit right in at a hoe down with those socks and messed up tie.

Of course, he was chosen not for his musical abilities but that he was black. Just like the black choir, the black revival preacher and the other black guy who thankfully knew enough etiquette to stick with the Lord’s Prayer.

This whole week has been nothing but black this and black that. Just like Obama, she’s more white than black but they both obviously hate their white sides and the msm is playing it up.

base fiddle

Er... that is an instrument called "Cello"...

Not to mention "base" is actually "bass", unless he meant a "reprobate" fiddle?

Noticed that the Queen had that choir situated all the way in the back of the church.

The choir is built into most medieval English church buildings in a similar position—between the altar and the pews. The Queen had nothing to do with its placement.

The choir seating (called the "quire" in traditional English) is represented on the floor plan below by those horizontal gray areas in the center:

Outstanding was this guy playing the base fiddle.

That's a cello. The bass fiddle is almost twice as big and is usually played standing up. He played amazingly, didn't he?!

the last time the King was an executive was in 17th Century. Those days are long gone. It begs the question: why have a monarchy?

In the UK and much of Europe, the monarchy performs a ceremonial role and to a certain extent, a diplomatic role. Because their cultures and traditions are so much older than ours, they also perform a curatorial role as regards history and tradition, and a spiritual role as figurehead governors of the Church (this reign of QE2 has blown that pretty badly, and I fear for what Charles will do). They do ceremonial things that in the U.S. are performed by members of the administration or First Family, by the State Department and by heads of museums and cultural groups, but in differing proportions. Their mandate to remain apolitical is arguably a source of cultural stability.

Naturally, as an institution, the monarchy is under attack there just as any established tradition is under attack here by the globalists/islamists.
