I have hearing impairment in one ear - if I listen with my good ear, it sounds like Yanny. With my bad ear, I hear Laurel.
It is a very odd phenomenon!

Funny, when I heard that directly on TV and the web I clearly hear “laurel”, and couldn’t believe Mrs. Hugin clearly heard “yanni”. But just now listening to a video of someone playing it on a cell phone, I hear “yanni”. Strange.

Wrong. People who listen to it at the same time hear different things. I listened to it with Mrs. Hugin from both Fox and online. I heard laurel every time, she heard yanni every time.

I have hearing impairment in one ear - if I listen with my good ear, it sounds like Yanny. With my bad ear, I hear Laurel. It is a very odd phenomenon! I have auditory processing disorder, so I have trouble interpreting certain sounds. To me it sounded like Yanny, but my brain is different anyway.

Fox and Friends just showed a tweet of the word Yanny in fancy script. You look at it harder and it also looks like the word Laurel.. LOL Too much!
