Jackass
Impossible though it may be, so do I.
Just another reminder that the best chance of surviving such an encounter is to slow down if possible, seatbelts in use, kid seats, brace yourself and treat the critter as just a giant speed bump...
Prayers and R.I.P.
As a widow who lost the love of my life, I can tell you that one “never” gets over it. Never.
[As a widow who lost the love of my life, I can tell you that one never gets over it. Never.]
Yes, you put it in a place where its manageable. That’s all you can do and go about living your life.
I lost my fiance to a boat accident 5 days before our wedding in 2009. She was 39 . I never knew such pain existed as I dealt with the grief and emotional devastation it caused. I wouldn’t wish that pain on my worst enemy. My heart goes out to this poor man
It’s stories that really rob my joy in life. Lifencan be so awful. My heart grieves for this poor man.
This is very sad. The accident occurred at 1am. It’s a good idea to make long car trips during daylight hours, since accident rates increase when it is dark.
Prayers for this man and his family.
That’s terrible.
Terrible. Those gators are dinosaurs. I’ve never heard of this before but i know the damage a deer can do.
It’s painful just to read this story. I cannot begin to imagine living it. All we can offer is prayers for this young husband and father who’s lost everything, and hope that he is able to rebuild a new life.
The heartache and grief of this gentleman is gut wrenching. Our knowledge and perspective while on earth is very limited. The 'why' of many things remains a mystery...in due time we will see the whole picture and come to a complete understanding.
“Every State official involved had been bribed one way or the other.”
Thats just the Chicago way of doing business. Everybody needs to be schmiered...just ask restaurant owners among others. Building inspections are an extortion racket.
Don’t have time now, but do a search to find out the history behind the hymn “It Is Well With My Soul”.
Self-centric viewpoints are misguided. We are here for the glory and honor of God. It helps if we acknowledge our true place in the overall scheme of things. The world does not revolve around me or you.
I deeply believe in God and have concluded that He pretty much leaves us to fend for ourselves in a physical sense. Life on earth...for whatever reason...appears to be very risky and fraught with danger. Maybe it is to test us to see if we have personal compassion on the least-fortunate among us who undergo tragedy like this. I do know that God and Scripture have been a great spiritual comfort to me through various trials. And when I look at the marvelous creation, there is just no way I could not believe in a Creator. I hope to find out from Him one day as to why certain aspects of life are so difficult, painful, and harsh!
Dang, Clamper. Condolences.
“This is very sad. The accident occurred at 1am. Its a good idea to make long car trips during daylight hours, since accident rates increase when it is dark.”
It was a god-awful tragedy. However, there is NO WAY IN HELL I would let my wife and kids drive at night like that in this evil, criminal world.
I am convinced God does not bring harm, sickness, calamity on His creation. I am also convinced, there is a natural order that was put into place at creation.
God delivers...but sometimes, He seems not to. A mystery indeed.
Perhaps the prince of the power of the air manipulates the natural order...I dunno. I just see God as a good good Father, wanting to lavish love, happiness and wholeness.
Some believe God will strike folks with cancer...you know, to teach them something. Maybe it’s a hurricane or tornado...cause you know how disobedient New Orleans or Tennessee can be. Poppycock!
God’s plan for redemption was all about love. He desires a relationship with His creation.
To which I replied “Gasoline is flammable.”
And it is. I carry a fire extinguisher in my car for a reason.
To this exchange, New Perspective proclaimed “Such a nasty callus comment. and DesertRhino contributed “Jackass”
A couple people here need a new perspective. Do either of you carry an extinguisher in your car big enough to suppress a fire well enough to drag people out of a car?
I think there will be disagreement as to whom the Rhino's quip properly applies.
It’s not god’s job to make your life comfortable and fair. There is evil and strife on earth and your job is to deal with it. How you deal with it proves your character. God doesn’t serve you. It’s the other way around.
