As a member of PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals), I hate to see meat wasted.
The first one bitten was perhaps a bit dumb. The second one was dumber. The third person bitten was the dumbest.
I have scars on my hands to prove that.
“Stupid should hurt, a lot.”
Oh, it does.
Kilt by a rescue cat.

Yep, that’ll learn ‘em.
When in ROTC basic at scenic Fort Knox I was pulling CQ one morning at 0230.
I was on my hands and knees spreading wax on the orderly room floor and the drill sergeant said he was going to check the barracks.
So there I am, spreading wax on the floor when the DS comes into the orderly room and says “Hey Cadet, come with me.” We go to one of the barracks buildings and there was a cadet who had fire guard, standing outside, sniveling. The drill tells him to tell me what he did. The cadet, from Brooklyn, tells me that he saw a cat and wanted to pet it. But I could tell from the smell it wasn’t a cat, and that cadet was sprayed by a skunk.
Oh, the drill sergeant was laughing his butt off.
I remember playing with bobcat kittens in Wyoming when I was 14. They’re tough kittens.
OK, so this family tried to do a kindness to G-d’s creatures and made a mistake. I am glad that they were not badly injured, and I am glad that professional wildlife rehabilitators have the kittens under their expert care. I don’t think anyone should be mocking this family’s mistake. They only had good in mind. Now that they realize the difference between domestic kittens and bobcat kittens, I’m sure they won’t repeat the mistake.
I think that there us a mutant breed if cat that has a very short tail. I agree with you that half the population has iqs less than 50. There are some very goofy breeds of cats and dogs.

Stupid city slickers.
People just get dumber and dumber...
“What’s this?”
*bite*
“Oh, maybe..”
*bite*
“Let me look”
*bite*
Friend of mine has one but his is a lovemuffin. Still wouldn’t recommend letting it follow you to the turkey pen, though. They are super strong.
Same could have happened with feral domestic short hair cats.
Faxing don’t work so good neither.
If you can trap a feral kitten, not a bobcat or cougar, they make excellent pets. I know people who have trapped them in their garage. You bring them food, water, and a litter box and they will become domesticated.
Oven mitts are your friends ;-)
