A bit late to this discussion on the castle move in chess. Earlier the topic was breached and while there is a defensive strategy to be found here, it is as much offensive in nature as it is defensive.

Simply, it helps control the center and is some heavy fire power. I remember calling the move an offensive, defense. Oh, and it probably isn’t what the castle reference is about.
