Will Trump Sign the Omnibus Bill? [Vanity]
Self ^ | March 23, 2018 | Self

Wow, Omnibus bill rushed through both House and Senate without discussion, now to President Trump. Not just the balance of the year, but for many items, for the next three years! Planned Parenthood, token amount for wall and prohibition to build further, funding for sanctuary cities, funding for ObamaCare, new 2nd amendment infringements, and more.

Did we vote for Republicans for this?! No debate, just rolled on everything the campaigned against. They sold us out. How will they explain their votes?

And, importantly, what is the chance that President Trump will veto it? If he doesn't, what does this mean for his promises, since it undermines many?

I’ve called, e-mailed, and sent letters
to my representatives, and the President.
All efforts seem to have fallen on deaf
ears. No responses personally. I don’t
think they truly care what our opinions
are.

I don’t know what’s going on but we can’t rule out the possibility that Trump has been ‘gotten to’, either. That’s the sick and sad reality of our out of control stasi state.

Trump is on the horns of a dilemma. He has to have the military buildup funding right away, which is why he will sign this bill. Trump is preparing for the inevitable eventuality that he will need to initiate a preemptive strike against North Korea in the very imminent future. (Hence his hiring of John Bolton as his National Security Advisor, his being a N. Korea policy hawk.) Trump must have that military funding in place, and thus he will not veto this bill.

It’s all about priorities, and North Korea, with its immediate dangers, trumps (pardon the pun) all. Trump is practical and realistic and knows what his priorities must be. So be it.

They don’t. Now, get back to work and keep paying your taxes, and shut up, peon.

Trump is teasing them and then would feed them instead of destroying the swamp?

This is a recipe for disaster. He should have kept off twiter if in the end he planned on letting the poled spanish bull run wild and angry at himself and his fans.

This is nuts

I dreamed he held a presser in the Oval Office, dumped the 2,000 page bill on his desk & explained to America why he plans to VETO it. But then I woke up!

Ryan and McConnell have really hung him out to dry. I suppose their strategy is:

-They don’t have the support to eliminate the filibuster now

-They think they’ll be in a better position to break a filibuster after the mids

-They think they will lose a shutdown battle unless it’s over a winner issue (no protections for DACAS)

We may be in a position where we lose the House this fall and our Senate position doesn’t improve that much. Then, we’ll be in an even weaker position, passing even worse bills than this. The only consolation there is that it’s really hard to get much worse.

Trump will sign this bill because it gives him one of his biggest promises. Unfortunately he believes we will understand the infringements on our 2A civil rights. He is mistaken. We should have gotten national reciprocity at the very least in return. We won’t forget this and all the givaways to the dems along with no where near enough funding for the wall, an end to chain migration, and the visa lottery. Not even an end to the anchor baby loophole.

I’m glad the military will finally get what it needs but at what cost? It’s such a shame the dems are anti-Americans who don’t want to fund the military so we have the best protection, best people, and best tools possible. Obviously in a perfect world we would simply deport all dems and leave the cities with just a few good [normal] people to run things there.

"Will Trump Sign the Omnibus Bill?"

Since so many trolls with the "blue wave" to turn congress blue are calling for avoiding the midterm polls and abandoning support for the President, there's quite a threat of impeachment. Looks like that leaves him at the mercy of congressional Democrats. Maybe government-funded trolls want big spending.

And with voters tolerating trolls calling for avoiding the polls, congress critters are obviously trying to get all of the pork they can bring home to their state and local government commies. As a result, they voted for the big spending very nearly to the point of a veto override in both houses.

“Not just the balance of the year, but for many items, for the next three years!”

Then I reckon Paul Ryan lied when said it’s for 6 months.

"If he signs that damm thing he’ll lose more votes than he’d pick up..."

Besides so many people in forums like this one saying that they'll abandon the President by refusing to vote in the midterm elections, there's the following from several years ago.

Leviathan (Uncle Sam employs more people than you think)
National Review ^ | 02/03/2011 | Iain Murray
"...nearly 40 million Americans employed in some way by government."

And as accessed a long time ago,...

Heavy Hitters: Top All-Time Donors, 1989-2014
http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.php
American Fedn of State, County & Municipal Employees $60,949,129 [Democrat] 81% [Republican] 1%”

So he'll gain more votes from most of the dedicated revenue suckers. Politicians in both parties are bound to spend more or be out of office. I posted that information enough times that you should all still have it in your memories.

The economic collapse inevitable *because* of the big spending is probably the only solution *to* the big spending.
