Sweden has become the first country in the world to offer compensation to transgender people who were forced to undergo sterilization in order to be allowed to change their sex.
While often hailed as a forward-thinking society promoting equality for all, up until 2013 Swedes had to accept sterilization before getting official recognition for sex changes.
But hundreds of people who were sterilized between 1972 and 2013 will now be entitled to seek damages after the Swedish parliament approved the government’s proposal on Wednesday.
Equality campaigners at RFSL, Sweden’s largest organization for gay and transgender rights, welcomed the “historic decision” which they said followed “a long struggle”. …

I don’t understand why their government would want to sterilize people of either sex transitioning from one sex to another.
Either way you would up sterile.

WTF? I was under the opinion that sterilization was necessary part of Sexual Reassignment Surgery. After all why would a male to female transsexual want to have testes pumping testosterone into “her” body, and why would a female to male transexual want ovaries pumping estrogen into “his” body?
Gynecologists in England are forced to pretend to do Pap smears on male-to-female transsexuals, so why can’t transsexuals pretend to reproduce? Or, why can’t they have a little foresight and have their semen or eggs frozen just like anyone else who is going to lose that reproductive capacity? The whole thing is just warped beyond belief.

They don’t have to stay in Sweden, they can either leave and keep their junk or stay in Sweden as Eunuchs... THEIR CHOICE!
Some female-born Transexuals may go through every sort of modification, but will choose to keep their uterus.
The idea being, if the ‘wife’ has a problem conceiving by donated sperm or carrying to term, then the ‘husband’ can most likely still that care of that part. It’s been written about before in the last ten years.
Just hurry up and die you ignorant Swedish fools! Let it be remembered that your population was a genetic dead end in the evolution of humanity.
