Scientists have uncovered 20 genes linked to being transgender – supporting claims that the condition has a physical basis.

Researchers believe the gene variations may contribute to people identifying with the opposite sex.

Critics of transgender identity say the condition is ‘all in the mind’, and transgender people have a psychological problem rather than a medical one. But by highlighting genetic mutations that affect brain development, the latest findings point towards transgender identity having a physical basis.

“So its a physiological defect that leads to psychological problems”

Some transgenderism is biological so you’d expect DNA to reflect that.

Why isn’t this work being done on diseases that kill or disable people?

If taxpayer money is being spent on this, I am not comfortable with this amount of attention and money going to something that affects a minuscule part of the population.

..........and “Scientists” studying Cancer are employed for Life studying.....................you guessed it.........................Cancer!

This is all about Conning Uncle Sam to grant a few billion dollars to study queers.

Meanwhile, my best friend died last Saturday morning of Cancer. The tens of billions paid “scientists” over recent decades did not help John one wit !

“One can bet the farm that this is junk science.”.....

ANYONE can apply for federal grant funds to study ANYTHING.
The subject study of the article proves it. “Waste of funds” personified!

‘The DNA test involved people in treatment at transgender clinics.’

if there is no trans gene marker, neither the population, nor its location, should matter at all...

Human sexuality is encoded in our genes.

Genes in eukaryotes undergo various rearrangements to enhance genetic variability.

Mistakes happen.

Some mistakes make people evil, others, just different.

If you have achieved any sizable accumulations of years, you have almost certainly met a child that was evil from birth and others, the wrong gender from birth.

One deserves harsh treatment, the other does not.

Don’t believe it for a second.

There was a big to-do about the “gay gene” until multiple cases of identical twins were studied.

The abused twin grew up to be homosexual, and the properly nurtured and raised twin grew up to be normal and happy.

Bring on the transgender identical twins studies!

25 yrs ago there was an article in Time about how genetic scientist may one day be able to determine personality traits from fetal DNA. They specifically cited predispositions to homosexuality and criminal behavior as examples. If there's really such a thing as a gay gene or a "mean" gene (no relation to the wrestling announcer ☺), all the moral pontificating about medical ethics will not stop someone from spilling the beans, everyone has a price. Then it will only be a matter of time before a woman seeks an abortion only because her doc told her the "unviable tissue mass" she's carrying around may turn out gay. Or a serial killer. Or both. Think John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Son of Sam, etc. Then watch the pro abortionists turn into pro lifers faster than Kyle Busch on steroids.

Shouldn't be anymore difficult for the Lysenko scientist of the left to rig the results for the sake of their political dogma than it was for Global Warming or the Gay Gene.

They're off to a good start by making this pronouncement based on a 30 person study. Pure unabashed statistical malpractice.

”The Mote in God's Eye is a science fiction novel by American writers Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, first published in 1974. The story is set in the distant future of Pournelle's CoDominium universe, and charts the first contact between humanity and an alien species. ...Moties alternate between sexes as part of their reproductive cycle, ...”

When “scientists” show that these transgender genes actually and naturally change the person from one sex to the other including the formation of sex organs then I’ll believe the genes actually exist.

"I suspect this is junk science."

I suspect you are right! There is the 'X' chromosone and the 'Y' chromosome if either of those are missing you have a 'neuter' all else as you say, is junk science.
