I dunno. They probably thought at the time they could weed the bad techies from the good ones like we thought with all our investment/appeasement until very recently.

But yeah, the RESULT shattered the social contract and fabric along with it.

As a stretch, I suppose the German scientists could technically be considered *spoils of war*. Personally, I’ve always been curious as to what ‘disruptive tech’ DARPA is sitting on. Trump has mentioned revealing that...eventually.
Will he also indicate origins of such tech?

But the ultimate break in the contract of the people with the government seems to me to have taken place with the assassination of JFK. Of course, that was likely the same operatives, same goal.
