Orange County Register ^ | March 29, 2016 | Louis Casiano

Multiple suspected Anaheim gang members face drug charges after being arrested by local and federal officials during a large sweep last week, and nine were still being sought Monday.

The Wednesday morning arrests wrapped up a 2 1/2-year investigation into two Anaheim street gangs, said Sgt. Daron Wyatt of the Anaheim Police Department.

Federal indictments were returned on five suspects: Delia Partida, 38; Antonio Partida, 32; Augustina Ortuno, 52; Juan Casillas, 30; and Uriel Castaneda, 37, all of Anaheim, on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine. Delia and Antonio Partida also face conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

They are being held by federal officials in Santa Ana. Delia Partida and Augustina Ortuno are being held on $25,000 and $105,000 bail, respectively. Bail has not been set for the remaining three suspects.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office charged 29 other defendants, including two 17-year-old boys and the missing nine suspects, with selling and transporting drugs. Several also face felony charges for gang activity.

Those charged are Francisco Reveles, 32; Freddy Reveles, 27; Adrian Najera, 26; Jorge Torres, 39; Evelyn Espinosa, 21; Araceli Lara, 23; Vianey Lara, 22; Luis Campillo, 23; Bosco Parrales, 26; Ricardo Tapia, 28; Lauren Carrera, 20; Juan Herrera, 32; Daniel Espinoza, 30; Pedro Lara, 26; Rogelio Viramontes, 19; Alejandro Ramirez, 20; Jose Ruiz, 35; and Eric Porras, 18, all Anaheim residents.

For reasons never explained to its readers the OCR likes to run very old news stories on their current website. This is today's oldie but goldie.

Enjoy the pics! They will show you what north OC has become in the era of Bush & Obama.

You might even get to wave to these homies the next time that you visit Disneyland

Damned. They’re Obama, Holder and Kamala Harris’ “DACA kids” but they are gainfully employed I see.

Next stop, college admissions offices where they will be allowed to enter as Sophmores.

Isn’t this just immigrants filling jobs that American thugs don’t want to do?

I live in North OC (East LH). Definitely a "blue" community.

“Definitely a “blue” community.”

Aren’t we all now. Only those of us who have been out here for enough decades can remember when SoCal was still part of America, before the Bushies and Obamas transformed it into a Latino Socialist People’s Republic.

Our pal George Putnam was a voice in the wilderness, eh Doug- not to mention the late, great Terry Anderson. They both would have loved Trump.

It always surprised me that one of the worst gangs in America- “los Colonials”- “the Colonists”- lived and worked inches from Disneyland.

Hadn’t heard of that one. But then there must be a hundred latino street gangs operating in north OC these days.

Seems like every strip mall now has its own bail bonds outlet like old gringo OC used to have hamburger stands.

I lived there for years and finally fled because I was tired of being the lone White guy. I’m not exaggerating. I’d go for days without seeing anyone White. Signs in spanish, women pushing baby carriages with 8 kids, 4 foot tall guys with cowboy hats and accordion/tuba music blaring 24 hours. Too vibrant for me. Had trouble sleeping because the police helicopters flew above all hours of the night.

There’s a lot more neighborhoods fitting that description now. And that 1986 amnesty had a lot to do with it.

George talked about it for four decades. I had the pleasure of being in studio with him 3 times.
