What Dem said we’d have another attack if the memo was released? Another stand down/false flag prevented maybe.
IMO, the main reason that progress seems so agonizingly slow (Why hasn’t Trump locked her up yet? Why is Sessions invisible/hibernating?) is because Trump and his team want to ensure the safety of US citizens and will not act until they can eliminate threats.
In the past few days, we’ve heard about
FL shooting
potential airplane terrorists
schemes to poison the water supply
MS-13 activity
and those are only the ones I’ve been paying attention to or noticed.
I can think of a LOT of ways that, if I were evil, I could use to threaten people who didn’t go along with the program. And I can think of a lot more ways if I had the cooperation of other evil actors.
Consider that high level people (SCOTUS?) might seem to be acting against our interests because they are being threatened. Not blackmailed over their own failings, not just having their families threatened, but maybe they are being threatened with something like the FL shooting, poisoning the DC water supply, or something similar. If you were a judge would you rule honestly and risk poisoning thousands of people or would you let some scum ball go or rule against Trump’s EO in order to save other lives?
I’m not saying this is the case for everyone. There are obviously plenty of evil characters involved. But when someone who I believe is trustworthy, someone who has a very good record, suddenly goes along with the dark side, threats like these are a possibility that I have to consider as a logical explanation.
