There will be no medal for American skier Lindsey Vonn in the Olympic super-G at the Pyeongchang Games. She had a fast run going before a mistake near the bottom cost her valuable time. Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein leads after the opening eight racers. Vonn will have another chance in the downhill. At age 33, she is trying to become the oldest woman to win an Olympic Alpine medal. She won bronze in the super-G at the 2010 Vancouver Games — to go with her downhill gold — but missed the 2014 Sochi Olympics after surgery on her right knee.

Big deal. She doesn’t like Trump. Did she kneel for the national anthem when she won gold? No. Does she go on and on about Trump? No. does she hurl herself down the side of a mountain sometimes at 80 mph on a pair of skis? Yes. Is she the most successful American ski racer in history? Yes. Any of you have the nerve to do that? I am VERY pro Trump but to wish her to fail is just stupidity. She is representing our country.
Grow up. Root for Vonn and Shiffrin.

You can just go, do your best, and lose. But that’s pretty boring. Not much drama there.

Lindsey did pretty good for being the first racer down the hill. Her right arm and hand got behind her on that one gate near the end when it should have been driving around to make the turn. One second of concentration lost, that destroyed her chances. As long as she keeps winning World Cup events to catch Igamar’s record of total wins, she will be the greatest skier ever. Olympic medals are nice, but she’s got plenty of those. It is nice to see Top Team Austria taking golds once again. They make the best skis!

The rest of the country can fool itself about where to get a handle on what grass roots conservatives are thinking but we know it is right here on Freerepublic.
