Actually today we can do it better. The Saturn V was a technological masterpiece in the 60s. The sixties technology could not do what Space X did with their "heavy lift" rocket.
ps I do not like Elon Musk but respect his space program. His Tesla is a marvelous piece of engineering that should not exist. It exists only due to government subsidies. Tesla is a government parasite.
I do like his rockets.
If the roadster was traveling through space at the speed of light, how fast would the photons from its headlights be?
Depends on the angle. This thing is going a tiny tiny fraction of C. Ion drives OTOH Those are a turtle and hare story with the turtle achieving 1/2 C before having to decelerate.

They thought long and hard about it - that's exactly why before the launch they joined AAA.
Sorry, Elon, your Tesla roadster won't orbit for billions of years
Astroboffins calculate MuskMobile will only last millions of years, has decent chance of bonking Earth, Venus
Seems they've calculated a 6.5% chance the roadster falls to earth in the next million years. Other destinations include Venus and the sun.
The tires were drained before launch. It isn’t as though they are going to run over anything.
Theoretically, the same speed.
At that speed, would the battery even work ?
