I agree with the gist of that. My point was I don't see AT&T as a social media company, so don't see the link implied by "AT&T>GOOG/FB/etc."
Everyone that replies to Q drops on that thread are “anonymous” so it can be 100 people. No names or handles used.
Every post on Anonymous gets a coded extension which attaches to every post that particular party makes during any given session. Some don’t know this, but it’s how the anonymous regulars caught a ShareBlue poser. He first posted his propaganda, and then he posted several replies, set up to look like they came from different people. He had no idea the extension code identified him as the author of all the posts.

To my mind, it implies that social media may find itself regulated as a public communications company. Don’t know how the process works, though. FCC has that power? Who/what defines a corporation as subject to regulation? Is it simply a unilateral government action defined by size<>function?

The regulations depend on the business. I see your point though, telecom companies (AT&T) are regulated, and maybe it's time to somehow regulate social media (Google/FB).
FCC regulates telecom, becuase telecom is viewed as a monopoly. Consumers generally have only one company hanging phone lines.
Congress makes the law, and passes details to a regulatory agency. I don't know much about that area of law, just where to find it.

Exactly. Posters get a unique code per session. I’m not proficient enough to know how long a lapse is required to prompt a different code. All I know is that for as long as the party is posting steadily, the code remains the same.
I have to say that I immediately click on a Q post because I know that it will always be an enjoyable read. There’s passion, yes, on both sides, but there’s also a joy of research and hypothesis. You can’t make progress if you’re not willing to think outside the box and, once outside, it’s so tempting to make faces in the window to those still inside.
I suppose I don’t even care how well the theories and such pan out, though I will try to keep track in the future. It’s just such fun to watch people THINK. I can’t follow well. Perhaps I don’t have the ability to make some of the jumps of logic, but it is joy to think like that. A friend, many years ago, told me that it took at least half an hour of being with me again to follow my thought processes, and she described me as thinking at a slant. Perhaps that’s why I enjoy these threads so much. It’s like examining a painting upside down, something I was taught to do as a child - to see some aspects without being prejudiced by the more common ones but, really, this is such FUN!

You’re right. And I think about that. But it is so far outside my own world that I’m not able to even put myself into their world enough to try to understand it. And usually I’m very good at empathy. Something else I was explicitly trained to as a child. My usual reaction is to just be intensely grateful that I don’t live inside their heads, which must be living hells. Then I go roll in something of beauty to shake off any lingering nastiness I might have picked up just thinking about the topic.
