Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta GA, TV and Radio: ESPN (yeah I know)
Who: #1 Ranked SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs (13-1), Coach Kirby Smart, versus The #4 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (12-1), Coach Nick Saban. Saban is looking to tie coach Bear Bryant's record 6 national titles.
Why: Why not? I heard the President is attending the game
One gimme game versus the 7 or 8 that UCF had.

UCF has one of the best scoring defenses in the country. But Alabama has the #1 scoring defense in the country.
UCF has one of the best pass defenses in the country. But Alabama has the #1 pass and run defense in the country.
UCF’s offense showed up around 50th in the country in the pass and run. But Alabama has the #9 scoring offence and # 5 run and #13 pass offense.
I think Alabama is a better team than UCF. I can’t think of a better system than the one they have now of playing off the top four teams. The bottom two, #3 Georgia and #4 Alabama turned out to be the two best and I think we’ll see Alabama as the best.

Saban is much more of a defensive minded coach, so he usually leaves the offense to the assistants, although there have been a couple of times when he has overruled the OC. Ironically,both times worked to our benefit.
Only if UCF ignores the playoff system that they and their conference agreed to honor. Otherwise, their "championship" is a lot like Hillary's "I won the popular vote".

They’re brilliantly trolling you humorless SEC fans. I’d say they’re the one team who “gets it”.
Also, I did not go to a D-I school, and I do root for teams in the B1G, ACC, PAC-12, Big-12, and the SEC, so I consider myself somewhat impartial to all of this. The fact that I don't find it funny is because I don't think it is right for someone to take $$$ for a contract, and then dishonor the contract, even in jest.
Besides, UCF's action do not look like trolling, but they actually believe they are the national champs:

The Knights will have a national championship parade, rings, the works.
Really, giving out rings is trolling? Will the UCF players in 10 years say, "No, we were just trolling the SEC and the playoff committee, but we weren't Nat'l Champs", or will they say, "Hell yeah, we were Nat'l Champs"?

I’m fine with UCF claiming a share of the title based on being undeafted but they look silly saying “undisputed”.
In terms of Bama, they were hurt cause the loss to Auburn cost them their division and a trip to the SEC championship.
Will Trump be on the field or up in the box?
Right. They had an off day.
But the ratings folks seem to remember the loses at the end of the season more than at the beginning of the season, kinda like the judges in a 15-rounder.
AL was lucky to squeak into #4 and the Playoffs. I think they’ll prove to be the best.
