To chime in on the topic, I got one a while back, and while the mask does take some getting used to, the difference is night & day.
I was actually at the point where I realized that I was waking up at night gagging when someone made me go to the doctor. Once I had the machine, it went away immediately.
An added benefit for me in dry, allergy filled TX climate is that it has a built in humidifier and micro filter, so in addition to helping with the apnea, it helps me out with allergies ... a lot.

DW wears hers all night. Charges it during her morning shower and while she is getting ready for bed. That much time seems to be enough. She will not be without hers.
I’ve had mine for 10 years. First year I had it, I left it at home for a weekend trip. Almost fell asleep a dozen times on the drive home. I don’t go anywhere without mine now.
