As more talent agencies find themselves drawn into the wave of Hollywood sex scandals, a prominent agent at Creative Artists Agency is facing accusations that he offered an actor sex in exchange for access to directors and a movie star.
The agent, Cade Hudson, made the offers in 2013, according to text messages reviewed by The Times, as well as interviews with the recipient of the messages, actor Sean Rose. The texts show that Hudson offered to perform oral sex on Rose and solicited the actor for as much as $1,000, even though he was told the actor was heterosexual.
Rose said he declined the offers and was “embarrassed and humiliated.”
But he said he felt powerless to speak out and feared that doing so would result in professional reprisals. “Because he knew so many people in the industry, I felt there wasn’t anything I could do about it,” the actor said.
At the time of the incident, Hudson was a publicist at Full Picture, a marketing and brand management firm that has clients in fashion, entertainment and other fields. About a year later, he moved to CAA, where he is an agent for commercial endorsements. He has developed close relationships with numerous celebrities — including pop singer Britney Spears, one of the agency’s most valued clients — and has served as CAA’s public face at red-carpet and charity events.
In a statement released by his attorney, Hudson, 30, didn’t directly address the text messages but said he is gay and was single at the time. He said he met Rose at his tailor several years ago and not as a result of his employment in the entertainment industry.

I’m just amazed how many can’t remember the “Casting Couches” from day one in Hollywood. It wasn’t an industry secret, hell, I knew at 16.
Maybe Entourage really WAS a documentary.
For a minute I thought it was the Canadian Automobile Association.
All they’ve ever given me is a tow job.
So which is the greater crime...offering sex in exchange for access or being heterosexual? Before you answer, remember that this is in California.

If you want to be an actor or actress you have to pay to play. Thems been the rules since the beginning of Hollywood but now, after over a century they finally want to stop that rolling freight train? The first thing they need to do is stop the witch hunts and start using real evidence, then they will get somewhere.

The press whores wold have bought it - like they always have and he would have gone on to more rapes. The press doesn’t care about taking advantage of women. Their only ‘stand’ for ‘women’s rights’ is THE RIGHT TO KILL THE BABY, KILL THE BABY, KILL THE BABY.
Abusers like Matt, Weinstein, Clinton et al don’t want any ‘babies’ to spoil the fun. Period. That’s their big concern for women: KILL THE BABY.
The press should hang their heads in shame... but they were capable of shame.

This is why I didn’t stay out there very long. It wasn’t offered but the vibes were strong enough to give me the creeps. Within a week I was in my way back to Texas.

We thought it was just vulgar humor, but they were serious.
These young people don’t know the “rules” going in. I’m sure for every young actor who is propositioned there are many who say “Go to hell!” and go back home.
I wonder if EVERY big name actor and actress didn’t become successful by way of of the casting couch. You can go see any “little theater” group in America and you’ll find more talented actors than some of the big stars. Bottom line is talent has very little to do with it.
Those Canadians are always coming up with ways to ruin our lives.
