The President Stole Your Land In an illegal move, the president just reduced the size of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments. This is the largest elimination of protected land in American history.

Patagonia thinks Trump stole "Your" land. Rather than the people of Utah deciding about land in Utah, they'd rather have a bureaucrat in Washington DC decide.

An ILLEGAL MOVE?

Clinton, with a “stroke of pen” made the place off limits to coal and oil as a PAY BACK to his Indonesian foreign donors.

++++

“In an illegal move”

If it’s my land I want it drilled if there’s oil there.

Or mined if there’s resources.

The left is getting BAT #### CRAZY the way they are screaming headlines and accusations.

The majority of the land is Federal land already. Obama abused his power.

The Patagonia clothing company has self-identified with our nut case left wing “preservationists” and should be avoided if not boycotted...

Patagonia...yet another LIB business to avoid at all costs. As to it being “my land”, I want it drilled, mined, lumber-harvested, walked-on, driven-on, hunted-on, fished-on, photographed and generally used. That is rather than sitting there for the pleasure of rich enviro-nuts who have the time and money to take lengthy eco-tours. Utah residents can better watch over this land rather than east-side manhatten residents.

Yes. When the government owns the land, you do not own it.

In effect, the bureaucrats own it.

I was astounded when I first came to Arizona, and saw signs that said “State Land No Trespassing”.

If I were in Congress I would repeal the law that gave Obama, and others before him, the power to declare any lands as permanently “protected lands” of any type or nature, by executive fiat alone.

These decisions should be set by legislation, not by orders from the president.

That said, and recognizing existing law, I applaud Trump for pulling back the executive over-reach Obama took in grabbing these “protected” sites in the first place.

Someone (I can’t remember who) last night on Fox News stated that these lands are still Federal lands, but now people are permitted to venture onto them.

1.06 Acres are already Federal Lands

109,100 Acres are State Owned Lands

12,600 Acres are privately owned.

None of the State or Private lands are included in the new boundaries.

Amen.

I hate east side manhattan residents and they’re only about 12 miles away from me :)

But Staten Island may as well be a thousand miles away from the other boroughs for all we have in common.

Plus I LOVE all the uses you found for the land lol!

Oh yeah, queue up the Woody Guthrie music and let's all go see if we can go hunting at this place.

Screw the Patagonia company. Can you say "effete and pretentious"? I knew you could.

One time many years ago I had a jacket that had a Patagonia tag on it, (I didn't buy it - someone gave it to me as a gift, yeah, that's the ticket) and one day in a fit of good judgment I took a knife and sliced that tag off of it.

After that it just seemed to fit better and I wore it for a long time. Seems like I eventually gave it away or something.
