Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin will be fired following the Aggies' regular-season finale at LSU on Saturday night, multiple people with knowledge of the situation said. Sumlin is expected to be dismissed in the day or days following the A&M game against the Tigers. The Aggies are a double-digit underdog to the Tigers, and an A&M victory wouldn't save his job at this point, the sources said.

I’m thinking Chip Kelly ends up at UCLA.

He should just leave to UCLA instead of wait for the axe to fall at A&M...

Paul Finebaum and Bruce Feldman discussed the A&M on the show yesterday...go to the 54:31 mark

Doubt that UCLA would hire a recently fired coach at a big time program to fill another big time coaching position. There are plenty of successful coaches who are available. Chip Kelly is one name mentioned for UCLA or FL.

Mora was fired from the Atlanta Falcons and University of Washington previously.

Disclosure: I am an Auburn fan.

Hate to see Sumlin go. I think he is a good coach. I also thought Les Miles was a good coach. SEC West is a tough neighborhood for coaches . . . even good ones.

You can have the greatest coach ever but if you don’t have the talented players needed to win, you won’t.

Nebraska is going to need a new coach by Friday, I expect.

Unlikely. UCLA won’t pony up that much dough. More likely that he goes to Florida.

Hard to keep a coach that doesn’t win any conference game at home.

I’m an Aggie. I was ready for Sumlin to leave after the loss to UCLA.

I also didn’t like how he handled the quarterback situation with Kyle Allen and Kyle Murray.

My daughter goes to Bama, so I’ve become a Bama fan. Roll Tide!

Les Miles was a good coach.

He would still be at LSU if he would have hired a good young offensive coordinator, and not meddle with the offense.

He may be a good coach, but the Aggies aren't spending $5 million a year for a "good coach".

Sumlin sealed his fate with his mismanagement of the clock at UCLA.

He quits and he gets squat. They fire him and he gets a big buy-out.

I feel your pain, mom. Thankfully, my alma mater's football team is undefeated since 1941. lol

I'm getting ready for the Phil Knight 80 tournament in Portland. My Zags take on THE Ohio State University tomorrow night.

Rumor is Nebraska may go after Mike Leech. Nebraska’s new AD was at WSU and brought Leech in.

Openings in the SEC: Arkansas, Ol’ Miss, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Florida. Possible openings at Auburn, Mississippi State and Kentucky if those coaches get better offers. Did I miss anyone?

And Orgeron only has one more year to produce at LSU.

Anyone have any guesses where Kiffin will go? If he goes?
