Environment: This week, thousands of scientists issued a bleak and terrifying "second notice" to mankind about how we will destroy the planet unless we take "urgent" action. If this warning is as reliable as the first notice these scientists issued in 1992, we have nothing to worry about.
In an article published in the journal Bioscience, 15,364 scientists warned that we are "jeopardizing our future" and that "immediate action" is needed to "safeguard our imperiled biosphere."
"Soon it will be too late to shift course away from our failing trajectory, and time is running out," the scientists say.
The article is meant to be an update on a 1992 notice — ominously titled "World Scientists' Warning to Humanity" and signed by 1,700 leading scientists — that predicted environmental catastrophes to come if humans remained on the current course.
But the 1992 statement was wildly off the mark in its dire predictions.
Back then, the world's leading scientists said that, if current trends continued, air pollution would get worse, water supplies would run short, the world's supply of fish would sharply decline because of dying oceans, land would become less productive, vast acres of forests would be "gone in a few years," mass extinctions would limit the ability to develop new medicines, and unchecked population growth would cause more to live in poverty and suffer malnutrition.
"No more than one or a few decades remain," the scientists warned 2-1/2 decades ago, "before the chance to avert the threats we now confront will be lost and the prospects for humanity immeasurably diminished."

Scientists are the new bum with the “The end of the world is near” signs. But if you look closely at their actual papers and not the stuff written by the “Science Editor” they cover their butts by talking about probabilities that approach zero for the actual end of the world stuff.
They also did it in the 1970s, with Paul R. Ehrlich’s utterly bogus “Population Bomb” hoax. He is almost unique, even in pseudo-science, in that every single one of his apocalyptic scenarios *failed*, utterly.
Yet he has never been denounced, or even dismissed, by the hysterical left. In fact they still periodically issue him “honors” for his “contributions to science”.
The only “honor” Ehrlich deserves is to be remembered as a vile charlatan on a par with the Soviet Union’s Trofim Lysenko.

These so-called scientists are actually modern ‘seers,’ meaning mystical Oracles of Doom forecasting apocalyptic catastrophe because of the growing wrath of Gaia (the earth goddess) . ‘She’ requires human sacrifice.
It’s just like cold fusion - 10 years from viability for the past 20+ years.
One time my property had an ice sheet 2 miles thick on it. Another time it was the bottom of the ocean......

OMG! She’s taken up smoking again... or how can we “save” the Earth when she seems unconcerned about how her own behavior affects her climate health?
The Iceland and Antarctic (and maybe Yellowstone super) volcanoes show Mama Earth is not in a cooperative mood as she refuses to reduce her own carbon footprint! Upon an eruption, unmeasurable TONS of ash and CO2 could be spewed into the atmosphere, without regard to Paris Accords or any other pollution regulations!!!
Unlike Al Gore and others, I would hope Mama “Gaia” Earth will lead by example in this fight against Global Warming (Climate Change on cold days)... and stop this volcano crap before we’re all cooked!
