It might be better to replace Ryan with a demrat in his district. At least the rat cannot run to lead the republican caucus. It would be a win for conservatives. Ryan imagines he is being very sly and that people won’t notice his efforts to shiv Trump. Ryan needs Trump gone so that his own Presidential ambitions (ha!) can be fulfilled. If Trump succeeds the GOP gets reshaped in a way that leaves Ryan watching the parade march on without him. He’ll do everything he can to bring down Trump while maintaining what he supposes is deniability.
