The discovery of a set of 9.7-million-year-old teeth has led archaeologists to raise questions about the commonly believed 'out-of-Africa' theory of human origins.

The teeth, which were discovered in a former bed of the Rhine river, don't resemble those of any other human species found in Europe or Asia.

The find suggests that contrary to popular belief, Europe may be the cradle of humanity.

When you say that half of those pictures were probably modern, did that include the ones that had Aztec or Mayan profiles as part of the design, or only the other fancy ones.

Thanks, I will put that list in an archive file I have on line. I looked at the top one and found a long comment by myself. Think I will look at all of them and record mine and other good comments. Maybe a book if I live long enough.

There were definitely some real artifacts shown but you would be amazed at the skills of modern knappers and their ability to replicate damn near anything they see. Their skills far exceed those from the past. To be honest I recognized the work of at least 3 well know knappers in several of those pictures and one older knapper who passed away many years ago, he specialized in Mayan eccentric style pieces and sold them as authentic. He was a complete fraud but much of his work is still out there and still being sold to unsuspecting buyers, he made thousands of pieces before he died. If FR didn’t require 3rd party hosting I’d show you examples of their work, I took the pictures myself.

The thing that convinced me was population distributions and trans-humanism and time.

from the article: "... 9.7-million-year-old teeth... which were discovered in a former bed of the Rhine river, don't resemble those of any other human species found in Europe or Asia. "

These teeth may well be ancient hominid teeth, but they certainly weren't yet human.
9.2 million years ago great apes had split off from orangutans, but there were not yet chimpanzees, much less humans.
So we're talking about gorillas here.

So, 9.2 million years ago gorillas roamed Europe?
Sure, why not?
But does that make them ancestors of humans?
Maybe, but how many times since then was Europe covered in ice & not habitable by hominids?
A dozen, a hundred times?
So where did those hominids go, "out of Europe"?
Well, back to Africa, of course, and there some evolved to chimpanzees and some few of those to something more human-like:

Flaming Conservative: "Carbon dating is a joke."

Honest Nigerian: "So how do you KNOW how old those fossils and bones are?
Does anyone have solid evidence to begin with?
Or, is someone making assumptions, or accepting premises which are not provable?"

Here again is that link to Radiometric Dating, A Christian Perspective, by Dr. Roger C. Wiens.

It lists many dozens of different methods for determining ancient ages, from counting tree rings & ice cores to radioactive half-lives and thermoluminescence dating.
Every method has its strengths & limitations and sometimes several methods can be used on the same materials, each confirming the others.

So this article doesn't tell us which methods were used to arrive at 9.7 million years, nor does it mention if that age is in any way controversial.
Another article says:

OOOOOKaaaaay.

Btw, many years ago (no not 9.7 million!) I lived in Mainz, a wonderful old city.
Iirc, their museum has a copy of the original Guttenberg Bible.
