How do I find out why a post was pulled? Who do I contact?

I have just had a thread pulled and I am rather baffled as to why. And I'm not sure how to even contact somebody to ask why which is why I am posting here.

The reason the thread was pulled according to the post is: "Why is this in the news forum?"

The answer to that question is because it was a post taken directly from an online newspaper - the Daily Mail

I've been posting here for fourteen years and this is the first time I've ever seen this happen. If the rules have changed, I'm happy to follow them - but I'm hoping I haven't been breaking them for fourteen years without anybody telling me. :)

I don’t have a problem with it. I just honestly can’t see what the problem was so I’d like to ask somebody to explain it to me so I don’t do it again.

I’ve posted nearly 5000 threads over the years without this ever seeming to be a problem before.

It was a news article about some pig shooters shooting a crocodile that got too close to them taking from what I consider a fairly major newspaper. And the reason it was pulled is stated as “Why is this in the news forum?”
