According to the article, the “a” version was used, which is perfectly acceptable for a black person to use. Check YouBoob to see how many rap “songs” have that word in the title.
The YouBoob search returns 6,590,000 occurrences of the “a” version, and only 582,000 occurrences of the “er” version.
