I have visited Ireland many times and though the people are warm and welcoming many that I met were really far left in their political views. They adored Obama and Clinton, hated W for the most part. Haven’t been there since President Trump but I would imagine anyone you would ask would give you an earful against him. Also, there is quite a common sympathetic view of the Palestinians concerning Israel. My father (God rest his soul) out and out told an Irish priest friend he was anti-semitic. I don’t think anyone had ever dared to tell this priest how awful he sounded when speaking about Israel.
They might already have one with Hitler on it.

Ireland is the most American country in Europe (except for maybe Britain), so if they're not our friends, we could be in trouble.

Average Irishmen and Irishwomen probably aren't anti-American, though like most Europeans, they prefer the Democrats to the Republicans.

The Irish aren’t stupid. But they’ve lost most of their Catholic tradition, since they settled matters with the British occupation. They no longer seem to have any of their old values. Their bishops have gone around the bend just like many of ours.

My GGrandmother was Irish, she was a Collins and beautiful. I still despise how the Irish treat murdering Communists.
Sorry to say those that walk to a different tune are alive and well In Ireland. My pop and grandfather are probably turning over in their graves.
