I have a 1969 Camaro SS. I bought it 34 years ago and restored it in 98. A lot of people looking to buy it but its not for sale.

Yea, a ‘69 Mustang Fastback. It only took me 45 years to satisfy my desire.

My 2nd car was a ‘63 Buick Riviera. I bought it for $300. The PO had sideswiped a guardrail and pretty well wiped out the driver side.

Man what a highway cruiser that thing was! And the coolest thing was the center console - you could hide 12 cans of beer in it simply by pulling the ashtray out and dropping the cans in. Getting them out was a bit trickier.

70’s mail carrier jeep. Had a bunch of those, bought at auction for $100. They tipped over very easily. Great in the woods but not safe.

About 25 years ago I knew someone who bought a clone of the 58 Impala used in American Graffiti for $25k. The mechanic who did a disc brake conversion on my 64 also built the el Nomado

He started with 2 58's, a 2-door Biscayne with a good frame and a Nomad wagon with the original and rebuildable 348. He bored the engine .030 over, upgraded the drivetrain and built what would've been the 58 elCamino. Even one of the top execs at GM said they should've built this car back in 1958.

I’d love to have father’s 69 Chevelle. Oh wait, big sister totaled it... I’m not upset though. :()

I just used 1924...I would settle for any year .... I just like Model T fords.....

One of my uncles had a model T(1926) parked behind the barn....The old thing would still start and run...(1950's)....
My cousins and I used to start it up and drive it around the back pasture....
It was a blast to drive that old car......you "shifted gears" with pedals on the floorboard.....
I was fascinated by that old car....

LOL, I got a couple in my Matchbox collection also. Where I grew up in NY, the Town of Ramapo Hwy Dept had a couple of them. And the Air National Guard up in Newburgh still has one from the early 70’s. They overhauled it and take it to some of the local car shows.

I was thinking more along the lines of Hill Country, Texas. Relatively flat and no real worries about tipping over. LOL

I agree with you. Model Ts have a rugged, almost elemental charm.

If there is something you have always dreamed about or thought about - why not get it?

I had wanted a Miata and a friend of mine had just bought one. He told me about one he didn’t get. Wrong color for him. Exactly what I wanted. So I got the Miata. Best spur of the moment decision I ever made! ! !

Yes, I know, they may not be the car for everyone, they’re impossible in the snow, and I gave up a 230 SL with the aluminum block engine that was wonderful but at the time it seemed like a good decision.

So if you want something - is five years from now going to be a better time? Why not do it now?

Ah, yes. Those cars have some nice lines. I have seen a few hot rods made out of them.
